“You talk a good fight,
with your biscuit voice
and your boasting biceps,
but you don’t scare me”
“you look like a dream
with your cream voice
and your strawberry hair
but you scare me”
and so their relationship
glided between
all they saw
and the rest unseen.
When they couldn’t agree
they agreed to wrestle
with the shared secret
that the winner would be forgiven quickly.
What a relationship!

Impressive
This is a fantasic poem, alternating between a serious side, and also seeing the grim humor that can be present in situations like this. I found it wonderful. Thanks for sharing it with us.

I love the complicity in their relationship, and the play between the external, the internal, and the even deeper truth ~ and the 'glide' of it all.
Excellent
