And the puppets did dance and the puppets did stare
at androids that were living and could not be repaired
they were looking for the blue fairy or their mum's first love
trying to understand the spirit of the heavens above
but there was just a binary code of emotions
and it just related to a computers devotion
ability to see pictures, here and there
to gaze with crystal blue eyes, that just blink and have a glassy stare
no understanding of the human spirit or hope
processors that cannot compute fast enough, or even cope
short-circuted by artifical tears of a mathematical confusion
a pipeworks cache of sentiments delusion
But what is hope?
Is it the ability to cope?
Or to keep trying, when you are slipping on the slippery slope?
And what is the blue fairy dream?
Is it the nursery rhyme Madonna of all our schemes?
The saviour that can make all things right?
Aspirations to the Mystic and the second sight?
Divine intervention in the darkest of all the nights?
Our get out clause from infinitys strange blight?
And where goes our souls, when the body is dead?
And where goes the motivation for the android, when it is no longer electricity fed?
and the tossed androids joined all the marionettes at the bottom of the scrap yard relief
sentenced to death for trying to have human beliefs.
