Old Leonard dies at 140

Post by peter danielsen »

One hundred and forty
old Leonard became
before he just left with a sigh
He said he had seen
the world go to hell
but then that the spirit would fly

He said he remembered
the garden so well
but also the loss
of the fall
He knew that some mercy
would conquer the split
by answering straight
to the call

Old Leonard was happy
and calm when he left
the children of children
were there
They smiled and they wept
went smiling again
he felt so delivered
by prayer

A hundred and forty
and seven more days
B-minor was turning to gold
This is how he died
this is how he lived
forever, eternally told

WoW, Peter [ask Henning for the meaning of that term  ]. A lovely tribute to Leonard life, and what a way to go....leaving as he lives, with grace. Two, beautiful, loving poems, one after the other.

Well makky, sadly enough I felt that the word "was" was the only really beautiful word in this text. But I've changed it beauty must go, reality can stay.

Hi Peter ~

I resisted the correction on was/were ~ but, actually, "were" even flows more beautifully, so not a loss; a gain. How do you feel about spelling "some" correctly, with an "e" ?

My message got garbled, too. It should have had a comma between Leonard and life. Thank you, by the way, for imbuing him with longevity :D .

Well makera and lizzy, I thank you for the correction. I think you know by now that my faults are made on purpose so that we can all participate in the proces of creation. This way we can hasten our return into the order of the unified heart.

 [Tee-Hee ~ That was my thought, too, Makera and Peter. Just wasn't sure how to express it. That 'country' quote didn't come to mind.....wish it had  .] Shall I close the borders of the heart with the proces :) ?

and it has a nice little tune to it, it goes :"deeeeeh daaah daah deeeeh, trahlaah deee de daaaah...." if you have trouble lower the pitch
