Again, LC music in background at the meetup locations please.
I have passed your request to the Garavouge and to Shenanigans,
"Leonard, his songs, music and voice in the background for meet-up get-togethers, Please"
Now , - that is a few extra CDs sold for Leonard ;-) ..
Looks like there are still plenty of "new " tickets for Saturday and Sunday in Sligo on Ticketmaster !.

I dont think people who have tickets in block a will be moved accordingly to suit the new block X & Y(z). If you try and purchase tickets for either block for the westlife show, you can buy low numbered seats on each side which means that, those blocks are getting their own 1-24 (24 appears to be the highest number of seat in each of these smaller blocks).

Regarding additional capacity, they have added 13 extra rows to the rear of block A so with approx 80 seats in each row which is approx 1000 aditional seats in block A. Each Block X & Y has 25 rows with a max 24 seats which gives 600 seats. The front rows of these blocks will probably not be full rows, in other words splayed, getting wider the further away from the stage (which is standard) which gives 500 seats approx per block. Which gives approx 2000 additional seats.

For Saturday, when I purchased my ticket on TM, all I knew was that it was Block A Flat, Row D, Seat 58. Wonderful! Now Block A is added at the bottom which probably means waaaay off to the right. :? I'm with musicmania's friend and will be FURIOUS if I'm staring at the screen...or sitting in front of the speakers.

Carlowmike...your tickets in Block A Flat, Block B will put in in the now coveted centre section! Mine for Sunday are Block A Flat, Row B, so will also be in the centre section it seems, but the promoters are going to have many VERY unhappy fans. :(
Well I've contacted both POD and Ticketmaster so may just wait and see what they say. There was 100 seats per row originally I think, so hopefully your ticket won't be to bad especially when you are travelling so far. Roll on Tuesday til I get a reply from TM. I got an automatic reply saying that they would get back to me on the next business day which is Tuesday as Monday is a bank holiday in Ireland.
Our tickets are NOT affected!!!! Got a reply from Ticketmaster saying the new tickets will not affect the position of existing tickets :D :D :D

I do not have a reponse from POD as yet but the Posts from keanrn5y and musicmania
address many of the concerns raised by some Members on the Forum ;-) .

No harm to mention here again about the Dinner planned for Friday 30th July at 7.30pm in Shenanigans,
the upstairs restaurant holds approx 80 people, we have 40 names so far.

Of course all are welcome but it helps things in the kitchen if they have an idea of number attending at a particular time.

I haven't posted on here before, just getting used to the board.
I thinks it's a great idea to have a dinner on the Friday, a lot of people, inculding us, are coming from all over the world for these concerts - it's fantastic.

That makes 9 people from Scotland -- 7 from Israel -- 4 from Australia --
2 from Germany --and a dozen from the USA ( including 3 teachers from NYC on Teacher exchange program),
and that's just counting the people coming to the Dinner :!: .
We should, for fun, try recording the countries some people are travelling from for the Concert :?:

Whilst I know that a lot of people are excited about the Sligo concerts and planning a holiday around them, last time I looked this was a Leonard Cohen forum, not an Ireland or Sligo tourism site. All this information is readily available courtesy of tourism organisations and Google. Please can we strike a balance and keep the details down to information related to the the LC concerts and cut back on tours available, emergency dentists and doctors etc. People may have asked by e-mail for the information but that does not mean to say that the answers all have to be posted on a Leonard Cohen forum.

Wendy
I am finding all this information very helpful, not every one going to Sligo is interested in the Leonard Cohen concerts. My husband is coming with me, I need a driver. I'm going to both of the concerts, he isn't. We know nothing about Sligo, apart from W.B Yeats. So to see the info. about the mines and fishing is great - he needs entertaining when I vanish for hours on end.
Much appreciated.

Thank you leonardthecat, there was some misunderstanding earlier on this thread.
I made the mistake of addressing on the Forum some enquiries we had received via email and PM, as a result of this it looked ( to people who did not require any assistance at all :!: ) like we were dishing out too much information.
I should have encouraged more enquiriers to post their questions on the Forum, ( just like I advised you earlier today !) then we could have answered the questions as they appeared  .
This gives me the opportunity to remind Forum Members that there is a lot of useful information displayed in previous posts on this thread.
Funny that you mention your husband as a non-Leonard man...we have three women travelling from NYC, two of them have heard only very little of Leonard Cohen in their entire life -- now as part of a Special Needs Teacher ( Irish / American ) exchange program they are attending Leonard's Concert on the Saturday ;-) .
I am glad that you, your husband and son are joining the Dinner group in Shenanigans on the Friday.
I had a verbal communication from POD today regarding seating arrangements, this I will share with the Members later.

I was waiting for confirmation by email of this information but the gist of yesterday's phone conversation
confirmed much of the data already supplied by keanrn5y and musicmania ;-) .

The seats purchased in the pre-sale remain in situ,
Extra seats are being added to both sides of BlockA, not affecting Blocks B or C.

One good thing to emerge from the extra seats arrangment is that the "scallpers and ticket-touts",
many of whom joined the Leonard Cohen Forum on the day of the pre-sale,
and who were offering Sligo tickets for sale at more than double the price they paid are now left very high and very dry.
