But you can't beat Black Label, Glenmorangie me likes too - oh and I know you will disagree with Jameson's is alright really. Those are just easy ones though hehe

PLEASE tell me you are very upset with bar staff who have too warm whisky and think its ok to put more than one ice cube in your dram (I get funny looks for that sometimes haha), because it just WRONG!!! It would be better with no ice atall, but needs must

Glenmorangie might be the fourth biggest selling Malt worlwide but the world isn't necessarily a Whisky connoisseur. Try a 25 year old Springbank, limited edition. bloody brilliant.

I have never claimed to be a whisky pro! Just that I have tasted many over the years. There was one, which was sublime, and I have never been able to remember the name of it, and I have never tasted it since. Maybe it was the time that made it taste so nice

I don't know if you do this, but I am the same with smells, tastes can evoke strong memories.

Why can't I admit to St Clements!?

As for ice cubes - only one when needs must! And please forgive me... but it's better than putting coke in it surely!

Whiskey and a warm fire and coming into that from cold mountains - perfect If my vegetables weren't doing so well, I would almost wish it were winter right now.

If you found one that you liked go out and try them all just to rediscover it.
even if you never find it you will always enjoy trying.

And as for putting coke in it, there should get a maximum penalty of imprisonment.

I agree - it is just one of my favourite things to do coming in from a winters day - stick another lump on the fire etc - I think I sometimes reminisce about winter habits in the summer and summer habits in the winter - not unlike many I should imagine - but not tooo much though
Come September I shall be picking all my blackberries and instead of making jam I am going to try blackberry whisky this year - should be ready for new year If it goes well I should send you some

My toe is lucky that I haven't just pulled it off and had done it's getting better really, I just aven't got time for it that's all.

Did said blackberry whisky last year, just tried the results. Not quite to my taste, a bit sweet. but brilliant served over real icecream or made into a sorbet.

Worth a go though.
