Anyone here on Prozac?

Post by rocksoff »

Does it help fans of LC to get up enough interest to go out of their abodes and live a little. It certainlt doesn't help them enough to interact on this site, because I am afraid this site is on it's last legs, compared to others.

Sad in a way, because LC is among the top five songwriters of our time, and has one of the greatest voices, a voice that has improved over the yeras, and has suppassed the croak of bob Dylan by miles.

Yet his fans here interstct very little, in contast to the buzz on the bobdylan discussions site. though much of it is drivel, at least they are alive and kicking over there. Instead over here, the fans of LC do not do him proud.

R,

Are you in competition with Lizzy for the honor of most frequent poster?

hi rocksoff,
I'm new, but I'll be honest. I don't take prozac, I take paxil. It's for anxiety as well as depression. I'm not quite sure why some people have a problem with those of us in the world who aren't filled with bubbles. Imagine, with the billions of people in this world, how it would be, if there wasn't some quiet ones.

I am totally apposed to and do not take drugs of any kind, including alcohol and do not need to. I get my highs from a good concert, my dog, children, wife, and so on. I don't like the Dylan site referred to and gave up on it. On this site, I feel that I have friends and good relationships like I'm talking to people I know. And if its only a core of people that will remain this site will outlast the rest.

Don't mock people who are sick, or have been

Post by peter danielsen »

Depression can be a very serious physical sickness, that in some cases should be delt with by a anti-depressive drug. I suffered during the 90's from severel depression, and listened to and believed all those wellmeaning men and women who felt that drugs was the worst thing in the world. Instead I received psychotherapi all those years with really now good result. In 1998 I got extreemly sick and spend a year in a hospital. It was only when I accepted to try a drug called anafranil (anti-depressive) that I experienced the miracle of getting back to life, with all its joy, compassion, love, and ofcourse sometimes pain.

Glyn, you shouldnt mock people who are sick, or have been. Just be glad that you never got into a sickness where you needed a drug to survive.

I DO NOT MOCK. I took the title of this piece as sarcastic. I do not count drugs for medical care in my 'I do not take drugs'. I only think that as a society we put too much emphasis on alcohol as being the only means for a good time, when it is the cause of many family breakdowns and other deaths, as is nicotine. If as much emphasis was paid to sorting out these drugs as the causes of death as are major disasters then the world would be a safer place.

I disagree with your statement that this site is on it's last legs, on the contary it is growing after being reborn. I will not disagree with your views on leonard, they are sound. As for people taking drugs.........thats their business.

By reborn I hope you are referring to the "new look" of the message board, George. The old message board in my opinion wasn't buzzing but there was a lot of good discussion going on most of the time, and didn't need a rebirth; but I understand it was breaking down. Jarkko (and I am sure others are involved) do such a good job keeping us up to date with reliable info on what goes on with LC, that his fans are going to keep coming here to keep up with what is happening for a long time to come. Not just to read this board.
