The meaning of it all

The meaning of it all

The sun was made for lovers
and the moon was made for poets,
blood was made for warriors
and the body was made for emotions,
God was made for philosophers
and the mind was made to explore,
but the meaning of it all was never meant to be
discovered by anyone.

I feel that quite often. The question - or rather the asking of it, is what turns out to be more important than the answer at times, or the lack of one, (which I agree, in certain realms - just isn't meant to be discovered). We know of many things, and we feel... my goodness how we feel.
Asking the question, and the inspiration and creativity and sharing (etc) that breeds within that - the journey - that is the real point in many cases.

Bit like the metaphor of dangling a carrot infront of a donkey -only sometimes the carrot (answer) cannot actually exist to us... :D and as long as you are not fooling yourself too much to begin with, then you can say - who cares if the carrot is sometimes a myth? - when I look at myself and see all of the ground that I have covered and the places that I've been (literally and metaphorically) - how much I have learnt and continue to learn. :) Sometimes - just that in itself is the answer.

If you can let go of the kind of need that, in actual fact is really a hinderance, then you start to become open, you start to know...

Well this wasn't meant to be anything thought-provoking. I was just being a bit silly actually. I gave a meaning to certain things, but then said in the end it was never meant to be discovered, though coyly--and slyly--I discovered it. :D

Aha- well you know...I wasn't sure if some of it was a bit tongue in cheek or not, seeing as it's you Jason.
But then I read the last two lines, and well - there you go! (Seeing as it's me ;) hehe)

But I almost feel like it's not my place to tell you how to interpret what I wrote. As strange as that sounds, it makes me feel like I'm taking away something from you that doesn't even belong to me. I'm actually glad you were able to get something out of this. Perhaps that's just evidence of my skills as as writer. ;-)

I don't feel like my right to personally interpret anything has been squished :) or maybe I'm just really 'ard.

Happily your ego seems to have no such obesity issues, hence me feeling ok about commenting on your posts, which I apologise for by the way haha :)

Nobody should ever apologize for what they feel. Even if you are stepping on someone's toes (or thin ego ;-) ). You can't regret a feeling, it just doesn't make sense to do so.
