Hi Liz ~ :D

I'm sure Vesuvius meant no lack of respect for any other poets...only that he has even greater respect for George (as his source of inspiration) upon realizing the prolific cascade of George's vocabulary is not so easily emulated...

Howzat Ves?

Love,

Well, Makera, now that Vesuvius is throwing the ol' hat into the ring, my comment is a throwback to other times, and still stands  .

Hi Liz ~

I'm sorry, but I don't care about past occurrences, or "other times", only what is....now. ;)

Why bring it up, if you don't want it repeated?
I only choose to respond to what is, not what was. Is that OK? :D

Of course that's okay, Makera.

What's also okay is that since Vesuvius says, "I am a new poet. But it is harder than I thought....I want it to be good. It is not going good. I can't think of the words. It makes me respect George more," that I suggest directly to Ves [as a new poet] that as these lessons are learned, the respect be granted to other, deserving ones here, as well. Writing poetry ~ much less good poetry ~ is not an easy task. It takes nothing away from Georges, and the poem to Georges speaks for itself, anyway. In fact, it wouldn't be repeating anything at all. It would be a brand-new day :D !

In fact, I only brought up other times [by way of explanation], with regard to your comment to me about it. Going by the first poem, it didn't appear to me that Vesuvius is trying to emulate Georges's vocabulary, at all.....but is merely trying to compose a simple poem that expresses what is intended. As the longtime encourager of all the poets, Vesuvius can now extend rightful respect to them all, as well :) .

Still stands  .
