.. okay, let's see if this definition of a mole from my slang site dictionary sounds like it could be describing Geoffrey:

mole: A real low-life. Typically with a short neck, stout head and very small brain, this nocturnal creature seems to frequent dive bars, county fairs and jail cells.

.. quite possibly this is describing Geoffrey.. although in addition to dive bars, county fairs and jail cells, I'd mention the seedy back rooms of seemingly well intentioned forums.. I don't see him having a stout neck, though.. I feel he's more of a wan, pasty, aesthete type, who obviously has some serious "mother" issues.. the movie PSYCHO comes to mind, actually..
