.. oh.. so.. this is Geoffrey, is it?.. (you naughty naughty boys).. hmm.. well.. I do like Jonathan Richman.. and I thought I spied some of that sensibility here.. so.. that's what I was getting at with this subversively complicit angle..Harry S wrote:I wrote better poems than this when I was dead recently.Violet wrote:
.. Oh, I believe you're wrong.. Ren's poems are subversively "complicit".. so complicit.. you don't even see the subversiveness, and yet I assure you, it's there.. I hope that explains things.. and I hope to see you vote.. I'd hate to have to have Dick try and persuade you..
just want to clarify one thing, I am a big fan of Geoffrey. I just don't think this particular identity of his works. all too easy. writing nonsense poems is an art but Ren is not doing it.

.. kwills.. you've already voted for that one, along with She Smells.. I gave you 2 votes, since you're such a pretty baby.. anyway, are you saying you want to retract your vote for She Smells??.. or.. [wait a minute, I thought you were undercover as a banana??]..

Re: VOTE for Ren poem that's most "bronze worthy"
.. hmm.. Ren.. er, uh.. G - e - o-ffrey.. I see you've been deleting all your posts and "pomes" where you can, here, and on your other threads.. Now, I know his Lordship's opinion can sometimes be, well, in some manner "daunting".. to us plebs here, at any rate.. but really.. your funny powums [there -- I've removed his Lordship's "pome" categorization].. anyway.. your powums have been a lot of fun... and I think he's just cranky for some reason just now.. so.. you need to factor that in as well.. and truly, when you said on another thread that you liked Jonathan Richman, that made me like your powums even more.. so.. there's room for a variety of opinions.. also, I think Clo and I have forwarded some fairly "heady" critique where you're concerned.. so.. don't take to heart so much the wiley* ways of his Lordship.. he's not always right, you know.. (and anyway, sometimes he wears his panties just a bit too tight).. (something to always keep in mind)..Ren wrote:.

The banana disguise was getting a little too hot to wear and I was starting to peel!

Still no news on henning he seems to have gone underground,so that must mean we have an underground mod and an above the ground mod.

Ummm... an underground mod is called a 'mole' (in the trade), Quills...
Re: VOTE for Ren poem that's most "bronze worthy"
Ren is going because I feel that I'm filling up this good forum with nonsense. There are many people here who are very serious about the poems they post and I did not want to seem like I was mocking them. I didn't want to seem like I was making fun of their more serious poems.

Re: VOTE for Ren poem that's most "bronze worthy"
Hi Karren.. as I'm this Section's Folklorist [when I'm not working the polls for Geoffrey, that is] [although he does constitute a lot of the folklore].. now what was I? -- oh, I will try to help you out a bit.. but first..karrenb wrote:Hi there.
I like Rens poems. but i'm confused, Is Ren, Ren or is Ren, Geoffrey, Why is Ren going? Where is Ren Going?
And what's with kwills Banana Disguise? And Why has Henning gone underground,(who is Henning) is he really a mole.
And who is Harry s (sounds scary).
Think I've just dropped into the twilight zone.

NOTE TO ALL REN BRONZING VOTERS AND OTHER REGULARS AT THIS REAR END OF THE FORUM: [actually, just listen in.. I have some punishment to mete out]..
CALLING: REN/GEOFFREY.. I couldn't help but notice a little aside by you on another thread of yours, which you subsequently removed [very wisely I might add] stating that "Violet" [as in moi] had been told by Ren in confidence that he was really Geoffrey.. but that subsequently, Violet spilled the beans [betraying said confidence, in other words] by letting someone or other know who Ren really was..
.. okay.. I'm so tired now I forgot what I was in the middle of saying -- oh -- REN/GEOFFREY: FOR YOUR INFORMATION the first I heard of this dual identity matter is when Harry [as in his Lordship] spoke of it on this very thread, in public, for all to see.. [!!!!!!!]..
SECONDLY.. [and I have his Lordship as my defense atty. if need be, so watch your step, Geoff].. I NEVER, and I mean NEVER betray a confidence.. it's against every fiber of.. well, even of my own pink lace bra and panties [oh, okay, his Lordship doesn't wear a bra.. oh, and I need to ammend the "lace" bit -- but I'll get to that later].. SOOOO GEOFFREY, YOU SNEAKY LYING RAT FINK: give me those little pasty white knuckles of yours, and let me wrap you but good.. [I.F.. you got that whip??.. that would probably be better.. and I'll make him really want an Alien rectal probe] [that last bit refers to another of "Ren's" "pomes," by the way] [note: I'm back with his Lordship's "pome" categorization]..
.. Okay, turn around Geoff.. and bend over.. [WHAP!.. WHAP!.. WHAP!]..
.. There. I feel so much better..
Now where were we, Karren??.. oh, yes.. the "identity" issues around here..

Jeez this is getting crazy. I am not Geoffrey. My name is Jerry. I have posted under the name of Jerry for a few years and then I signed up here under the name of Ren to have some fun.
Re: VOTE for Ren poem that's most "bronze worthy"
Violet you are in NYC. I am in Jersey about 20 miles south of you. Doesn't Geoffrey live overseas? Pick any tv channel locally and I will tell you instantly what is on there.
