all things that happen
for a reason
all things that
bend
into shapes
appearing to be
other things
entangled in hopes
to be counted
in amongst the dreams
faltering
staggering to be lived
liked
welcomed
held and hugged
the tears brushed away
kissed away
loved
away
he leaned in the doorway
against the frame
framing himself
coming and going
leaning
with one foot poised
for the next step
not taken

all things that happen ...

Hey Vern,
I think this is a fine poem.
Your poems are getting stronger and stronger. Are you falling in love, by any chance?

Sheila,
Thanks for your comment on my poem.
The simple answer to your question is no. The more complex answer is always.
