Snap and snarl
and stare at the stone gargoyle
a vision to frighten
and not to enlighten
and the statues do weep
for faith allows your soul to keep
and the barbed thorns
do prick and bleed, your body to adorn
and the heavy wood
bends your faith and does your body no good
and the long bloody nails
go hand in hand with the whip's flails
and the spear in the side
in no way does your faith divide
and the rolling of the stone
makes you feel that you are all alone
and the ascension of the christ
makes you just want to have a normal life
are religions a dead loss?
that did die in brutality on a wooden cross?
if religions are tolerant and ask you to turn the other cheek
ask you to be righteous and to be very meek
why do they disguise themselves under the evil that men do speak?
and supply mixed messages that are very oblique?

Religions?
I am a right bad ass, dankish prince and I love my Violet to bits.
Nice one, George. These are questions I wish more people would ask. To me it seems that religions are far more accurate reflections of mankind than of any godhead that might exist.
I'm off 'up North' to visit the aged parents over the long weekend. Be back Tuesday-ish.
Happy holidays to everyone, whatever Easter means to you.
