Yes, I also find "Because Of" with its whispers and sighs is quite Gainsbourg style. They are both (well, Gainsbourg was) masters of speak singing, two of the very few who make it sounds great. :) But IMHO Leonard`s mumbling is far sexier than Gainsbourg`s even though it isn`t bad either ;-) :

Thank God Leonard has looked after himself better...
A cross on every hill
A star, a minaret
So many graves to fill
O love, aren’t you tired yet?

Where have you been for over a month, Queen of Solitude?? You're 41 today, you have exactly 50 postings, and 25 of those are in the Leonard's Music section.

Happy Birthday, Queen of Solitude!!! And hope to see you come out of your solitude and join us, again! You're such a pleasure here!

Love,
Lizzy

Maybe Queen of Solitude is just another Michael front. I have no reason to 'believe' that, but the 50 and go is kind of a pattern isn't it? ha! teasing...I just wanted to say hello to Lizzy...

Hi Linda ~

I've just seen this... a bit late, eh? Well... who could dream of keeping up these days? It's back-burner morphed into a retirement project for me. Impossible, otherwise... and I refuse to give up  .

Ha. I hadn't noticed the actual pattern in his numbers, but that sounds about right ;-) ; fortunately, Queen of Solitude is a lovely woman in New York City. You're just teasing, anyway, so :) ...

How are you? Are you loving the Olympics?

On another note with the Olympics, I'm in awe of Joannie Rouchette's personal strength. She's an admirable young woman who set an example for us all.
