As the crow flies marseille isn't very far from barcelona. IT seems that part of the meditteranean has the privelige of helping leonard celebrate his mid 70s birthdays. if its as good as barcelona it is something very much to look forward to ! almost guaranteed to be good weather too

I think the regime of physical therapy is 4 to 6 weeks, not 4 to 6 months as the first post states. Leonard deserves some time off and he will, no doubt, make good use of it and enjoy his rest.
It may be that the official physical therapy will last for 4 to 6 weeks [their option being to add on more time ], with the remainder of the time for Leonard to heal in his own ways, in his own time. As I recall, it ended up at least a couple months that I was off work for arthroscopic surgery on my knee... and that's not as crucial as a person's lower back. And, then, there were the at-home-on-your-own exercises that continued, even before returning to work. The process can be quite long. It seems that Leonard at least does not need surgery... and THAT is a BLESSING! Leonard is definitely an athlete. Any doubters on that will get their comeuppance if they see him perform in person.

Yes, thanks for this. Hopefully the fact the dates are postponed to the Autumn is no great surprise to most (like many, I've assumed and suggested that for a few days now), it's just the reason that is news. Wishing Leonard a speedy recovery and hoping I can afford the hotel/train for the rescheduled date. At least there's a full six or seven months to save up!
Thanks to Marie, Jarkko, Patrice, Robert Kory et all for getting this news out to us, even though that clearly took longer than most on both sides might have hoped.
Most of all, get well soon, Leonard x

Compression problems are what chiropractors are for, right? The vertebrae impinge on a nerve because they are too close together or moved in the wrong way. Sometimes they take care of them in few visits, sometimes you go for many weeks 3 times a week. I don't see where they rescheduled four to six months of concerts, so I think that was a mistake. At any rate, it doesn't seem too serious. Orthopedic physicians give you painkillers, chiropractors don't believe in them.
Perhaps, he'll see a chiropractor, too. It seems that would be a good idea. Some cranio-sacral massage would do well, too. I feel it's an EXCELLENT idea for Leonard to just take time to rest. How he does it all in the first place is beyond me. WAY beyond me!
