Grenoble - who is going?

let's have a pre-concert dinner in a good restaurant on Monday evening, i.e. the 8th ! - if you all agree of course, and if you're not arriving too late in Grenoble.

I'm living near from your hotel, and there'are plenty of restaurants around.

Sounds good to me - I should hopefully get there about 4 or 5ish - haven't booked my train yet from Paris to Grenoble but I'm planning on that time. I'm getting the Eurostar to Paris then another train as on the way back on the 11th I can spend a couple of hours in Paris then too

Ann, arriving at the airport at 15: 35, you'll be in Grenoble around 17:30.

So as both of you will be here on Monday evening, we might have diner together. The good point for me is that i'm not working on tuesday morning. I'll probably ask some friends of mine if they want to join us, if you don't mind.

Congratulations, Aimy, for your work, I took a look at your webpages : you're a great photographer ! I guess you'll come in Grenoble with you camera ...

Hi Philippe.
Looks as if Grenoble in March is definitely off ! Of course we must wait for the official announcement on Monday,( if it is not postponed again) , but from information on the French site it seems the concerts will be in September, if at all. I read your post, I'm sure it is a huge problem for the venue too, if they have been informed by now. However, if as it now seems LC has some health problem, the most important thing is that he gets well soon

Being told there will be a show in September, or later, is ok with me, as long as they plan to play here in Grenoble or elsewhere not to far away !

But for you and those who have decided to attend this venue from abroard, it's a more bitter piece of news, I guess.

I'll still be going in September - don't think I can swap my Eurostar tickets so might still go to Paris beg of March but luckily and had not yet purchased my train fare from Paris to Grenoble. I just hope Len's back doesn't take too long to get better as back pain is horrid bless him.

I'm happy to know that both of you have decided to come over next september ! You'll see, those last summer days happen to be a much better time to visit the area. And the new show taking place a friday night, you'll probably manage to stay the whole week-end, won't you ?

Here is what the venue says about the postponement :

" Les billets déjà vendus pour le mois de Mars restent valables.
- Les locations vont se poursuivre pour la nouvelle date dans les points de vente habituels.
- Le Palais des Sports assure le remboursement des clients ne pouvant se rendre à l'événement le 17 septembre 2010 et cela jusqu'au 8 Mars 2010."

that is :

sold tickets are still valid.
tickets for the new september show are still on sell.
people who cannot make it in september can get a refund, UNTIL MARCH 8th.

But I suspect the very real reason for this totallly rescheduled tour, is that Mr Cohen knows i'm working hard on translating his complete songs in french, an,d someone must have told him i was too far from the beginning of an end of it. And the genleman he is and still will be, decided to do me this wonderful and i must confess, undeserved favour : he 's giving six more months for me to finish my work, so that, probably, when he'll be here, I can present him the all of it.

I was going to Grenoble too, in fact, I am still going in March 4-7 for a short holiday. So I hope to meet you there if you have time. I am afraid I won´t make it in September /at least not to Grenoble - but maybe to Marseille and even Strasbourg/.

Nice to hear from you ! I've seen the picture you 've posted this week, Orphans at the Fairmont : brings back strong memories ! (Greetings to all of you, fellows Mollydog, Bonnie, Bill'Bar, Francy and Thom ...if you're reading me)

Let's me now when you're in Grenoble (are you staying in a hotel ? ) next March : we'll walk together to the empty palais des sports ... or we'll go and have a drink, or many, to forget we're still just orphans !

It's sad you won't be here in Spetember. I'm still hesitating to atttend Marseille ; a friday or saturday night I sure could make it, but on a Tuesday, it's not that simple.

March 9th., when the Grenoble concert would have taken place, all being well. Greetings Philippe, wonder did anyone make the trip anyway, as in some of the other venues ? If so would be interesting to hear how it went. Hope LC is recovering well and that some of us at least will make it to Grenoble in September !
