KATOWICE!!!...lenny and his team sure pick them.....5 years ago thanks to the combination of bad weather and the hungarian airline wizzair i was stranded for almost 2 days in katowice on my way back home from krakow...it is an absolutely dreadful and depressing place.....'bleak' doesn't go anywhere near describing it...i still have nightmares about my stay.....personally i wouldn't step foot in the place again even if they were giving the tickets away for nowt....i hope forum members have a better experience of the place than i did....mind you there is a nice IKEA store not too far from the city centre.......ta ken

And March, of course, is pretty much the bleakest month of the year! Hopefully no one attends who might be in a depressive state...

Thanks Ken for the cheery warning! If IKEA in Poland is anything like IKEA stores in America, one can spend a whole day trying to find the exit so that should take up some time, and divert one from the outdoor surroundings.

Hopefully this concert will be redeemed by one in Krakow!

thinking about it....if anybody does intend going to the Katowice concert i'm sure it would be a good idea to stay in Krakow rather than Katowice itself and check out the transport situation....from what i rememeber it's only an hour or so drive between the two cities...if there are enough of you can go by taxi or there are plenty of mini-buses with drivers that you can hire in Krakow...but i would give katowice a miss.....ta ken

I asked them the same, now waiting for the answer. Maybe the whole red sector is elevated.

majmunka...yes, I have sent them an email too. I don't care about elevated as long as I am in a centre seat in the front row! My field of vision would be very acceptable

The news about the concert in Katowice was a big suprise for me, as I live near Katowice(1h car drive) and I would never guess the tour would go there. I've already bought tickets for Bratislava and it looks like I'll attend both concerts, which probably wouldn't happen if I knew about Katowice earlier, so something good came from the "flexible" schedule
