I have knelt there, at the delta,
at the alpha and the omega,
I have knelt there like one who believes.
And his blessings, they came from heaven
and for something like a second
I was cured, my heart
was at ease.

Which "Delta" though ?

"Without light or guide, save that which burned in my heart." San Juan de la Cruz.

Words can be of many kinds, composed of various elements and offer numerous, remarkable insights. A word may likewise be triple, quadruple, or multiple in form. Words affect and influence our life beyond all expectations and sometimes beyond any logical explanation. Dynamic, resplendent, spiritual, soft, persuasive, romantic, gentle, kind words – words of heaven and hell, glory and defeat, etc. If we can grasp a words true essence, once openly exposed – its absolute power and virtue is exemplified to an nth degree. We can only imagine the lasting impressions words acquiesce to each of our senses over time. Such are the words offered by Leonard Cohen. His words operate not by their own activity or accord but by the sheer impulse that their absolute existence excites in us, to the very core of our being.
