There has been a degree of impertinence in some of your replies, but Hell, I can take it. My Dad always taught me to finish my

Aha! Harry Harpin is back ~ I just came in briefly prior to leaving for work, and he's here [somewhere]....his name appearing on the list of those currently present. Perhaps a meritable response is about to appear :D . Hi Harry :) !

Well, I see Harry posted while I was doing mine and before mine 'took.' Well, Harry, that's all you have to say? Hmmm............

Maybe I am too cynical but I believe Harry has been here before under a different guise. What ever rocks your boat.

Your 'cynicism' was my original suspicion, Paula. I'm not sure who Harry is; however, I am sure of what Harry is ~ to borrow from the Brits, perhaps even originally you ~ a wind-up. The use of "a degree of impertinence" in regard to the responses addressing his original  , and the incompleted sentence, are the confirming factors for me. No doubt about it, in my world. Erring on the side of caution doesn't necessarily mean being right.

Harry,
I received the flowers that you sent and was deeply moved by the card. I thought for sure it was a "Hallmark-Pine Box Greeting" but turns out to be a Harry original. You were right in warning me about the dangers of pet grooming as a career. My heart really does break five to fifteen times a day if I'm busy. I have also begun psychic readings using paws and whisker alignment and in addition to that, offer previous-life counselling for self-righteous pet owners. SO GODDAMN IT, HARRY, DON'T PATRONIZE ME. I LOVE WHAT IT IS THAT I'M DOING AND I DO NOT WISH TO JOIN YOUR TEAM OF ICE FISHERMEN. AND I'M SORRY BUT NO BUNDLE OF ROSES AND A SENTIMENT DRIPPING CARD IS GONNA CHANGE THAT...

Lizzytysh, I am not Harry. What thread are you referring to? I might remind you that I never write poetry.

Okay, I believe you, Moonlight.

Ya gotta admit though......." I have already cast my vote. I voted for muffins. I voted for peace. I voted for real poetry." ~ on the Muffins or War thread. You don't need to go find it ~ that's all it said.

Dear Lizzytysh,

I don't "gotta admit" to anything. You have made another very wild leap into the nether regions of non-logic.

Ah. I must have you confused with someone else who thinks very little ~ if any ~ 'real' poetry exists on this site, other than [de facto] Leonard's  .
