Weakness of the Flesh

thousands of miles of tired capillaries
the subways of the curse
carried on the mesh
the bones being the framework and dark gothic hearse
of the desires of the rotting flesh
Oh ancestors desires!
coupled with our own values and vanities!
and the blood refreshes the tired eyes
like waterfalls created in the divine skies
and sexual urges awaken and sleep and stare
like fields of grazing stallions and mares
and your eyes find the focus hard to keep
like the beatings of the chest by raging brown bears
energise your life away from the gorged moon!
which pulls desires like the morning mist
blood fuelled feelings are either hit or miss
and you forget the concept of the divine kiss
the beautiful youth of sadness and purity
trampled underfoot by the rage of the bull in insanity
clambering for roots of pure misogyny and vanity
symbolised by the violet blood on the wood
God's sacrifice to try and make good
man's inability to aspire to what he should
