Eve and Adam

Post by Lita »

Quiet and humble she sat among the leaves.
Not knowing an ill companion was slithering in the tree.
And Adam where was he? This I do not know
But maybe watching football or catching a strip show.
And the snake he wispered to her, so sweetly and so true
"My Eve take a bite it is good for you"
Eve herself was tired of aprons, pots and pans
So not knowing what was best, took the apple in her hand.
The taste so delicious, and for a moment she was free
But Eve had broken the rules, God couldn't let her be.
And Adam when he found out that Eve had tryed something new
Could not be out done, so he ate the apple too.
And God said to Adam "you're such a stupid man
never trust a woman, with a snake in her hand".
So the garden was destroyed and they were tossed out of the land
Holding on to nothing but the core in thier hand.
Eve smiled at Adam, and said "my boy you should have knew!
sure it was a paradise, but paradise for who?"

A very clever and humourous perspective, Lita. I enjoyed your take on this age-old story.

Enjoyable poem, Lita.
Men are at their weakest, when woman has the snake in her hand.

I am a right bad ass, dankish prince and I love my Violet to bits.
