'Hey Jo'

Post by Pete »

'Hey Jo'
where are you?
A flickering screen
the bed unmade
Hendrix plays
Hendrix fades
'Hey Jo'
where are you?
Have you fallen
from your grace?
no reflections
in your face
waiting for
incoming calls
writing prompts
upon the wall
'Hey Jo'
where are you?
Mel Gibson
demanding time
a friend waits by
his ignored line
waiting for
the sculptured dance
waiting for
his only chance
to say
'Hey Jo'
why are you
upside down
so far away?
'Hey Jo'

Jo made you post it, Pete? The same Jo that's here? Your last line has me a tad confused. "Cute"/clever poem, however.

It is for Jo here.
Sorry to confuse with the last line.
Jo had already received this poem. I promised her in the chatroom that I would write a poem for her and this is the result.
It just felt right to add a postscript.....tongue in cheek...

Hey!!!! I didn't make you do anything - wish I had that kind of power, I'd make a lot of people do a lot of things

But thanks anyway for the poem :D

"... all words are lies because they can only represent one of many levels of being"

Hi Pete,
For the time being, you'll just have to go with "cute," but remember I added clever. Wasn't sure what the word was that I was looking for, so jotted down the only two that came to mind. I wasn't comfy with "cute," either. That's why clever appeared. What would you call it?
