I have only just come accross this site having browsed through a google based search on Leonard Cohen.

It is by far the best site dedicated to this remarkable man, and just in case he ever gets round to browsing these comments, I would just like to say thank you.

Thank you for hours of endless contentment, and satisfaction, as I listen to the most provocative lyrics ever laid down.

I listen in times of stress, and I find empathy by association, it helps me no end and I come away fulfilled. Who could ask for more ?

I am beginning to miss those concerts though, it has been some time since we were together at the Royal Albert Hall in the early 90's. Happy memories of that concert and the ones before, especially here in my home town of Manchester. My only consolation is a BBC video compiled by Melvin Bragg, and it is now well worn.

The world is a sadder place by your "retirement", I would have loved to have met you and spoken awhile, thanks again.

Welcome to the Forum, Andy ~

Your assessment of this site is absolutely correct :D ! I'm glad you found it, and hope you'll be here in the long run.
"...the most provocative lyrics ever laid down."
So simply and perfectly, and in musician terminology 8) . Excellent description :D !

Welcome to the site, Andy. There are quite a few of us here in the UK, and occasionally we get together for a chat and a sing-song and to reminisce about old times. If you might be interested in joining us next time, it will no doubt be mentioned here, so keep an eye out.
