Hmm? For someone who is completely dumb regarding online payments: what is this dotpay thingy and how is it supposed to work? (or more exactly, do I need to register anywhere else before trying the registration page?)

Henning, how did you manage to get such a screen? I did not see it at all!

Laura - no need to register anywhere. DotPay is a Polish ISP that processes credit cards for their clients (a bit similar to PayPal)

Henning: that page never came up for me, so I suspect you have taken a wrong turning. The fields for amount and seller were already filled by the program from the start, as I transferred from the Event website to the DotPay website.

Laura: it was straight-forward for me. Just register your name and email on the Event page, then be directed to the first DotPay page (name and address), then the second page (credit card number), then authorise the transaction, then you get confirmation. The only surprise for me is that it looks like DotPay does not accept Maestro. Visa seems to be the preferred credit card.

Well, probably that's because VISA is much more popular here than Maestro. But it might be annoying for those who have only Maestro card.

At the end of the transaction, I was returned to the Event website and its 'Thank You For The Registration' confirmation. Above the Event's logo (I love the dripping paint forming the white and red Polish flag!) it says: "There are 291 places still left". Therefore, I was the ninth to register.

On the top of my print of the Registration confirmation page it says "There are 300 places still left". That must mean I was registration number 0!?? My payment confirmation e-mail is timed at 21.03 BST.

Can you confirm you have my registration OK Sebastian?

Well, I’m in too. It’s very early morning here in Japan, and I got up to make sure I don’t miss it, but apparently there was no hurry: still 270 places left… Now I have a whole year to make up my mind whether to go or not. 8)

I have registered too, aswell as my parents. My wife won't be coming along to Krakow, mainly because the godfather of our oldest son is getting married that weekend and she want to be there of course.

Oh I am so excited...have just registered! This will be my first event. Am bringing my husband and kids along to Krakow too, although I haven't registered them (not sure about bringing young kids along!), we have always wanted to go to Krakow so plan to spend a few days there. With me popping off for adoration of Leonard in the middle!

Probably the page didn't refresh. Still if you don't get an error, that means that your registration went smoothly.
