got a quite good, reasonably priced ticket for st. louis this morning (tho it turns out some commercial internet businesses have cookies turned off and you can't purchase from their machines). tomorrow i shall try to take manhattan!

I love the choice of the password for this, what is likely to be, last leg of Leonard's triumphant world tour over the past 18 months.

His induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame -- a literal "Tower of Song" perhaps-- is one of a few crowning achievements that have come his way at this stage of his life and career.

It's wonderful....deserved....and sweet.

Hallelujah!

Ticketmonster worked like a charm. Section 2, Row O on the floor, for Madison Square Garden. Now I just need to breathe and wait for the adrenalin rush to go away so I can stop shaking.

manhattan has been taken...without resistance, tho ticketbastard fees amounted to almost 1/3 of the ticket price...compared to less than 20% for st. louis tickets handled by a different agency. hello, leonard!!

Oh dear- got 2 seats I'm happy with, but in the rush didn't see a place to put my son's name in, not mine (I'm paying, his birthday present) and it says they can only be picked up by me with photo ID. He's in North America, I'm not. Is there anyone I can plead with to let him collect them ? Can't really justify a transatlantic airfare just to hand them over!

RE: MSG Service Charges
Ridiculously high, but a relatively small percentage if you get an expensive ticket. Not a whole lot of consolation, but my $255 ticket only had a $23 surcharge tacked on. The "only" is facetious. But I did get Section3, Row D, which is pretty awesome, considering comparable seats seem to be only available in the VIP allotment.

Hi goldstei

Just been lucky :D :D :D for Manhattan tix-but really support your cost comments! Trickitmaster, more like...how can International Will Call incur a $2.50 fee? Is it for the air we may suck away from native New Yorkers??

But hey, it's we who are the strangers...and I'm still so pleased to be spending the evening with Leonard!!
8) THANKS JARKKO :D

Hi Sourire,

Hope you are smiling as your name indicates. In the end, the concert will unquestionably be worth every dollar and every Euro--I've seen five so far and am hoping to make four more (got NYC and St. Louis so far!--involving trips from Detroit to NYC/Philly and to St. L./KC). I have no doubt the cost will be forgotten, but not the concerts.

What can one say about the absurd will call fee you mention? I guess the U.S. is in such financial trouble these days that any excuse will do to suck up some cash from anywhere else? I suppose our new national slogan will be, "We take new cash from old Europe!" C U in NYC in a few months--if you've never been NYC is really exciting tho it can be exhausting.

Looks like there's a very limited allotment for the lowest price level (MSG). I'm still considering, but might try my luck on Monday. The presale is as smooth as ever, btw!

I have the same problem as Hosan. I bought the tickets as a gift, (they are great - thanks so much for running this site so well!) and I don't have the funds to go to NYC just to pick them up! Is there anyway my mother - the person who the tickets are for - could pick them up instead? We have the same last name.....

The folks who will be the most understanding about this are at the venue itself and the people who actually will be sitting at the tables/box office handing out the tickets the night of the show. I'm confident that you and your son will be able to work out some means of communicating the situation to them (especially his relationship to you and that the tickets were a gift) and allowing him to pick up the tickets.

If I were you, I would be thinking along the lines of 1) contacting the venue box office to see what they will need and 2) preparing some kind of letter/fax with a photocopy of your credit card (both sides), I.D. (both sides), ticket order, note explaining the situation and perhaps even having it notarized to give to your son and/or the venue.

Plan to arrive early to allow extra time to resolve this if necessary. I've been to 7 LC concerts now and my experience is that the handing of the box office/management side of the operation has been thoughtful and competent. I can't imagine them not making this work out smoothly for you.

I hope this helps. Maybe others will chime in too. Best wishes to you.

Hi everyone

Re: NYC
I logged into ticketmaster right at 10am and managed to get tickets in section 2, row h. Nothing closer. From what I could tell, those were reserved for VIPs. Congrats to heavensgate2024 for getting row d! Did anyone get row a or b?

A big thanks to Jarkko for all the work that you've done in organising this pre-sale.
