I Spy
Lizzytysh
The night came on.
Was it calm?????
If it was calm then I believe 20 points is in the offering.
If it was anything but calm then only the 5 points.
And you CANNOT claim points through other methods because of your great perceptions.
Big Chief thanks you for uncovering the motives of others or supporting others' justifications but you cannot have points... only a signed photo from the big man himself.
he might even consider some points if you spy a beggar and a wooden crutch but not together...he might just consider that...just might

Thanks for your selfless offer of help in disposing of the chocs, Lizzytysh, but I will not need to take you up on it after all. I have found help closer at hand (Hazel!), and am confident of soon being able to announce that there are not chocolates in the boxes any more

OK!
Forget about the poetical game of Mah Jong, now, it seems to me that I'm in the middle of a roller skaters party, elbows in the limbs and everything (not that I am anybody's lover here, phewww
)
Not my cup of tea this kind of sport.
I'll keep to drop in and out to read fans's true heart comments. Count me out Big Chief. Keep rolling, gang!

First and foremost ~ Tchocolatl~! Please don't go. If my teasing offended you, I apologize. I reread my posting and when I said "seeing, through....," it sounded harsher than intended. It wasn't to say "seeing through," i.e. "I saw through that." It would've been more accurate to have said, "seeing, via.....," as in "seeing, as a result of..." In other words, I wasn't saying, "I saw/see through you," but rather that as a result of your suggested scoresheet, I made some determinations. Hey! I say try what you think may work. If it doesn't, Big Chief will let y' know. I don't get any of the points I was hoping for, for having seen some dynamics, so back to the drawing board
. As for Big Chief, he'll have to give his own explanations. However, try not to go in front of that Council. I've heard some pretty rough things.
Now, Pete, yes, the night came on with the blue of the day mellowing to grey, and the grey going into darkness, via an inverted-V [think watching a flying formation of geese, after it's gone past you] of pink and orange sunset colours, with some clouds joining in. Very calm. Very lovely. The night came on.
If you claim a beggar with a wooden crutch, my first question will be, "Yes, but was he leaning on it? And if 'it' was two crutches, that doesn't count, either. Single crutch. Leaning on it."
Oh, good. I get my cat points back. And, Pete, if you think for one minute that the chair that used to be yours and still may be yours, from time to time, is not truly his, then your cat is not a real one. The temperature dictates the curl. I also would've been willing to share, Helven
~ even if we'd seen the same cat at the same time. But, Pete, doesn't it have to be our cat?
Perhaps just a technicality on the existential dilemma of the absent mare, but Pete, if Helven saw no mare today, then didn't she 'see' the absent mare? If it's a mare gone, and mare returns, then it is no longer absent. What to do? What to do?
I loved your dream, Helven. I love dreams, anyway, and this was a great one! Nice twists and turns, with humour, as well
.
Ah, Linmag, I shoulda thought to think of Hazel
. Well, I won't begrudge you your points, even if I didn't get to help out
.

My male cat 50 points just followed me out on to the main road. I said to him I cannot follow you my love you cannot follow me another 50 points.
But when I came home I stepped into an avalance (it was the puppy's fault) 50 points
Linmag if there are chocolates going spare don't just share them with Hazel she is a nut
Lizzie I like your thinking on the absent mare. Is the mare an absent mare when it returns? I think it could be.
Pete I think Big Chief is being very picky and dare I say uncaring to those of us who need the points. Because we all know what points make ............

You don't know if there are no diamonds in the mine unless you look for them!!!!
If your husband is your lover then it counts.
If your husband is someone elses lover then break his limbs anyway!!

That sounded like a very calm night coming on. Your descriptions do you credit and Big Chief has decided to award you triple points for the I spy night coming on. I must have caught him in a good mood although that soon changed when I mentioned Paula's comments about him being picky. I think I will keep out of his way for a while.
Regarding the beggar. We were just trying to make it a bit easier to get some points here but rigour must be maintained...the beggar has to be leaning on it...final decision.
You have your cat points. More discussion on the cat may unearth other technicalities which would be difficult to resolve. But having said that you could put a label on the chair which says 'cat's chair'
Now... the absent mare??? If the mare is absent it has to be pronounced absent by virtue of it not being present. The abscence of presence dictates the absence that in itself can only be determined by the identification of a mare that should be present at a particular time in a particular place, withstanding the option of Helven being present to observe the pre-arranged presence, or absence, of the mare. I trust that this is now clear and Helven will need to act on this and claim her points in the recommended way.
Paula!!!
Excellent I spying. You obviously have the gift and Big Chief has promoted you to Mistress I Spy............. but quickly demoted you upon the realisation that you had accused him of being picky.
Such is life.. a mistress for such a short time
Big Chief has looked again at Lizzytysh's night coming on and has transferred the honour of mistress to her. Well done Lizzytysh
Paula.. you can still keep your points
The points are the prizes, be grateful.

... and I saw a chair with a dead magazine.
(Oh OK - it may not have been dead - but it was pretty dog-eared and decrepit looking

I don’t try to dispute my points – not at all! – but the absent mare even being absent still asked me insistently through the possibly present manifestations of its absence to bring to your attention its own opinion regarding the ways to be absent as something present. So I obey.
The mare says, “Trying to determine absence through the presence we can’t call anything “absent” or “present” at all. Suppose, we call the mare absent on the ground that it isn’t present here and now from the points of view of an observer who can establish its presence in some other place or in this very place but in another time or somehow else and thanks to that fact is able to form judgments regarding its presence and absence. We have here the situation when an observer declares both of the properties – to be present and to be absent – to be peculiar to one and the same mare. And what does it mean? It means the mare, being both present and absent, is absent just particularly and relatively and can’t be called “absent” in the full sense of the word, and we can call “absent” – totally and absolutely absent in the full sense of the word – only that mare whose presence can be established by no ways.”
Helven,
in the name of the absent mare.
