Lent

Post by iveta »

Lent

As I truly believe
I will see Him alive in 40 days
So for 40 days
I´ll be gratefully giving up my dinner
And instead of an evening meal
I switch on my LCD church
Search for my Sony Music Len Zen Altar
Hallelujah
Hallelujah

just joking
I mean I´m really doing all this before He comes here, but I´m not completely
sure if I´m truly touching afterworld this way :)

"Give me A Leonard Cohen afterworld so I can sigh eternally"... So you might be doing ok! ;-)
"You thought that it could never happen / to all the people that you became"...

:) Thank you for such an ambitous suggestion, but I´m afraid I Kurt might have haunted me, had he discovered I´m interfering his job.
Not that anyone could bear my singing much, even if it´s very temporary and quite short.

I like your both your whimsical poem and your religion Iveta!

Just a thought: Consider changing the thread title to the title of the poem, rather than 'Joke/Blasphemy' (which sounds a touch apologetic). IMO, the poem can stand on it's own, and your meaning and the play on words/religion is clear.

Thank you very much
I did it.
My poem has received some self-esteem theraphy and isn't ashamed of it's name anymore.
/Still lots of respect to guys capable of more serious and much deeper poetry and prose. /
