I spy

Post by Sohbet »

Okay, I'll try and see if I've understood the game:
I spied a swan floating on an English river and a rose sickening with a scarlet fever.

Wow, Sohbet, that’s great to see you here!!! :D

Hm… but I’m afraid I don’t quite understand what the game it is…

Yours,

It seems to be the addition of another phrase to the preceding one......a poetic Mornington Crescent and the winner appears when it's fun/run/done/won  ?

It could be less complex than that. I am going to suggest Pete really did see a swan on the 10/1/4 on an English river and that is definitely a 10 pointer. You get 20 points if the Queen is along side  but you minus 120 if it is Prince Edward.

Today I spied a bird on a wire but it's only worth 5 points..
and that gives me a total of 15 points.

I'm looking for a beggar leaning on a wooden crutch as that will be worth 75 points.

I can see a box of chocolates here so that's 2 points but can't see a hungarian lantern anywhere.

That gives me a total of 17points.

Pete :-)

I Spy

Post by Sohbet »

Ah, the rules are more complex than they first appear. Perhaps I will get five points for spying a bottle of Courvoisier here on my desk (no, I think that's a two-pointer). I would get at least 75 for seeing the light from her body, perhaps, but that's going to take years of looking. I had a party on Saturday and saw, one by one, the guests arrive. There, maybe that's a solid 5-pointer; since it took some trouble to arrange, I think I should get 10.

Aha! And I saw it clearly today through the window that the girls were definitely young – at least, it seemed so :? . And as I hope they still are  I’d like to believe it gives me my 0,00023 points…
I've finally found myself! But that turned out to be a completely different person.

I saw the veins stand out like highways all along my wrist.
Do I get points or does this perhaps put me in the red?

Time out! I'm passing by quickly. Reading the last posts I tought I was in the Agatha Cristie's forum. Remind me so much of my teenage readings of some of her novels, espacialley The Murder of Roger Ackroyd.

Sohbet, really happy to see you well.

Didn't any of you buy the 'I Spy' books when you were young?
Big Chief I Spy trusted you to spy particular items and you could mark them off in the book and gain points depending on the difficulty of the item to be spied.

Big Chief I Spy trusted that you had seen them.....it is all built on trust.

I can, hand on heart, say that I have seen what I have seen so my points are valid.

Kieron...if you are talking about the 'Sisters of Mercy' gothic rock group then you can award yourself 150 points but if you are pretending that some ladies were sisters of mercy then I'm not so sure..unless they announced themselves as sisters of mercy.

Bo fisher.. good one. 10 points.

Helven be happy with your 0.00023 points

Sohbet the light from her body awards you the 50 points. You are being too greedy in claiming 75. The guests arriving ...I think 15 points is in order there. Where does the bottle of Courvoisier warrant points? Please excuse my temporary ignorance..is it in this I spy book?

Yours trustingly

Pete (on behalf of the Big Chief)
