Learning

Post by George.Wright »

As i look back through the muddied eyes of my earthly disguise
and realise that although life was for living, it was full of lies
and on reaching the summit of my inspired dreams
i realise that i was false, human and full of schemes
we all came into the world naked, sparked from sourced love
and energised and became flesh, inspired by the heavens and stars above
we live and begat and then we die
sometimes never understanding the reason's, where or why
and deep within the caves and codes, hidden in our decaying mind's eye
the sequence unfolds, just before we happen to expire and learn to fly
and then it's too late to change our acknowledged and twisted fate
the endings very soon, the time is too late
the time is too late, the time is too late
expound the virtues of hindsight and to reflect and to relate
past the point of no return, no return
we must re-enter school again, our lessons to relearn, to relearn

George, your style is becoming more mellow. The bright base colours of your pallet are being replaced with gentler hues and tones. Evolution in progress and process, in a poem about birth, growth and death. I like it for both of these reasons.
Regards. Byron.

There is nothing to learn, but plenty to pick up?
