Re: Photos of LC by Dominique Isserman
Thank you for sharing these lovely photos with us (esp. the swimming trunks one which brought on an attack of the vapours
)

Re: Photos of LC by Dominique Isserman
Ahhhh yes, the vapours......the sizzling....steaming vapours. I think that is the most "cheesecake" photo I've ever seen of Mr. Cohen. The eyes say it all.......

Ladies, I couldn't stop laughing reading your impressions of the "Leonard on his stomach" photo
Has any of you noticed that #5 shows a wire (without a bird on it ) ...?

I agree with Rain, Leonard`s features are heavenly beautiful.MaryB wrote:Totally HOT!!

A cross on every hill
A star, a minaret
So many graves to fill
O love, aren’t you tired yet?

I forgot to thank you for pointing all of this out! Great quotes. Especially from The Energy of Slaves. I know I'm not the only one out there who thinks Mr. Cohen is beautiful......it just surprises me that he thinks he's so repulsive, at least in some songs. He must see himself VERY differently than the rest of us.......
"Your beauty lost to you yourself, just as it was lost to them". Not to us, though!
Edit: I had to look this one up, but to me, it is one that - almost paradoxically, some might think -, stands for Leonard's real, i.e. "inner" beauty (although or rather precisely because, yes, the stunning effect of the "swimsuit/on the stomach" photo is, of course, by no means lost on me!
):
"I am invisible to night
Only certain shy women see me
All my hideous days of visibility
I longed for their smiles
Now they lean out of their shabby
plans-for-the-evening
so we may salute one another
Sisters of mine
of my own shattered people
going after third-choice lovers
they smile at me to indicate
that we can never meet
as long as we permit
this order of things to persist
in which we are the wretched ones"
