Re: Random LC moment I am adoring today
Today, I found myself thinking if I had a chance to meet Leonard, what would I do. Would I ask for him an autograph or could he pose with me in photo or beg "Pleaaaaaaaaase Leonard, can you marry my grandmother?" Meeting Leonard is my biggest dream and I want that it would be something special so the first and the second choise are too usual and the the third...even though my granny is nine years younger than Leonard and very sweet lady I am worry about their language barrier (she doesn`t speak any English).
So I thought over that question and suddenly I knew what I could ask for him if I had a honour to meet him: "Bless me Leonard, bless me with your words of wisdom, bless me with your golden voice!" I hope so much that some day I can say for him those words and get his wise blessing.

omg, that REALLY made me laugh!!

Uh, I'm not sure what I'd do. I suppose it would be something like a "freeze, stare, melt" situation.

My mother is a shop assistant and at the store where she works they have the radio playing all day long, always at the same station. My mother came and told me one day "you know, there's a song they play on Galaxy very often, three or even four times a day, and I think it's Cohen, but I'm not sure. I've never heard it from you, but from the voice I think it's him".
I asked her if she could sing it, but she said no, she can't. She said she will try to hold a lyrics in her mind or something. Weeks later, we are at a cafe and she turns and says "oh, the song on Galaxy! I think it said something about... what was it.. Berlin?". I ask: "First we take Manhattan, then we take Berlin"?
"I think so", she replies and I tell her that she HAS heard this song back at home, even though it's not included in the playlist I have been playing lately (note here that for the last months we listen to Leonard Cohen ALL THE TIME. My computer doesn't stop, not even at night). So, today, she calls, turns louder the radio and says through the phone: "Is that it?"
Of course it was. I told her I'm proud of her for recognizing Leonard's voice and I really am!

Oh such a wonderful anecdote, Stamatina! Your mother clearly felt a sense of accomplishment with her recognition
. And, yes, you have good reason to be proud of her
... even called you on the phone!
And "Chicago" ~ I've never seen it, so maybe I would've recognized those lines if I had

At a market in Los Angeles, a woman in front of me in the queue was wearing a black tee shirt and on the back was printed a two column list of cities and dates. Aha - a tour. I asked to see the front of her shirt. It was Bruce Springsteen. I asked if she went to many of his concerts. Just one.
I told her I go to Leonard Cohen concerts, expecting the common reponse of, "who?"
She said a lot of her friends went to his concert and loved it. She was sorry she didn't go.

Re: Random LC moment I am adoring today
I spent today very good time with my friends but the best event happened just a moment ago when I was lefting my friend`s home. I have fastened Leonard`s picture to my backpack and tonight my friend`s mother noticed it. "Who is he?" She asked. "He has so familiar face." Of course I told her it was Leonard. When my friend`s mother heard the name she got excited. "Cohen is one of my favorites too! He has so many good songs! But he has stopped making music, hasn`t he?" I was very busy but I could stop that conversation so I gave her quickly a lecture on Leonard`s life sense 1990. When I told her that Leonard is on world tour now and he was in Finland last October she started almost crying. "Why didn`t nobody tell that me?" So I had good chance to advertise "Live in London".
I left my friend`s home with huge smile on my face and her mother`s assurances of buying Leonard`s 2000s production followed me to the staircase.

Today I lent my "Live in London" DVD to my friend`s mother. She really rejoice and started immediately watch it.
