It would be grand if they tucked Fred beneath an arm for him to wave us goodbye before flying away to Europe.
I did mention that a Fred sighting would be appreciated. :)

Maybe there has been no sighting for a while because Fred didn't have a valid Passport and couldn't cross the border into Canada. Now that the troupe is back in the U.S. perhaps someone will make sure he has a valid Passport for flying to Europe.

Marie....Marie....

You are awesome! Thank you SO much for all your endeavours on our behalf! Believe me, there will be at least 12-15 people stationed in front of the merchandise table....not buying a single thing because we have bought everything at other concerts! And...we will all have all eyes out for our little Fred :)

Will write you more later.....but thank YOU so so much!

Hmmm, I think that may have been one thing we missed. BUT...he was at the feet of "The Great One" in Edmonton! Although there ARE ways to smuggle someone in..... 8) Hopefully Fred has passed through all the rings in the US and now has an official passport so he can continue to Europe (they are stricter there!). Wait a minute...I think he's a monkey from China.............oh nooooooooooooo....maybe he can claim refugee status... :D

All I know is that I want to see him again!

And I want to meet him! OR at the very least see a photo of him from the same space we shared.

And... YES, Marie... thank you SO much for looking out for us... ALL of us... in EVERY way 8) !

Yes, Marie, thank you, thank you, thank you! Wonderful that Leonard, his management and whoever else is involved tries to be so responsive to our humble little forum's desires. Meeting a few of these exceptional musicians certainly added that extra special something to an already extraordinary night for me!

Much appreciated!

Maybe Fred doesn't have a rain poncho and is afraid to get his fur? wet so we won't get to see him

Ooooo... wouldn't it be great to get a group photo of all of us with Fred? Could such a thing even be possible :o :? :D

That's EXACTLY the same thought that occurred to me last night, Mary! Not the rain poncho, though I will be bringing two extra and Fred is certainly welcome to one... however, the group photo ~ YES! I envisioned that, as well... d'ya suppose that could maybe possibly have a meaning to it? Where two or more are gathered?? Such a great thought it is. I would love that.

What would be better yet is if we could corral some of the band members in with us, Lizzy. Such wishful thinking, but always a possibility! :D

Edit: Maybe your offer of an extra rain poncho will bring Fred out of hiding :D !

Hi Gang,

Just a few more days, getting very excited. I know that those attending Red Rocks on this board will be screaming their heads off, and showering lots of good will and love to Mr. Cohen and the band, but let's really do it and get the rest of the audience properly motivated. It's been my experience (this will be the sixth show), and noted by others, that he and the band truly respond to the genuine excitement from the audience. Let's make sure the cheerfulness keeps breaking through. I'll be in Row 2, Seat 25,with my dad.

I am so excited. This is gonna be a great and memorable show. Off to Red Rocks, my friends!

I am SO in agreement, Chicano 8) ... so long as we don't interrupt their singing and throw them off... applause times are to let them know how MUCH we love them.

Well, yes, Mary, of course :D ... after all, they'll be bringing Fred to us in the first place, right ;-) ? How could they, the keepers of the golden monkey, stay outside the range of the lens at such a crucial moment. That was the image I was holding... now for it to come to be ;-) .

Re: Finally Arriving in Denver on Sat 30th

Salutations people

I've managed to speak with Diane (from Memphis) this afternon (Friday 29th) and have tried ringing Roman a couple of times, I'm now flying in to Denver on Saturday (30th) afternon, (United Airlines Flight 884), a day earlier than I thought I'd be able to, staying at the Holiday Inn and would warmly welcome hearing from anybody who'd like to make contact. My friend Sherry flies in from Oklahoma City on the Sunday afternoon.

By the way, I learnt an interesting little piece of information this mornng, while doing a tour of Sun Studios here in Memphis, it seems that Sam Phillips, the founder of Sun Studios, was also one of the co-founders of Holiday Inns, which is where he made the big money.
Cheers

Brand new to the forum but just decided I cannot miss this show! I saw LC in Phoenix after waiting a lifetime (38 years) and just pulled the trigger on my flight, rental car and hotel!! There's no way I'm going to miss this show at Red Rocks!!! Cannot wait!
