Great Days

Post by Ben Kelly »

Great Days
Song from D.O.Y.
V1 Kiss me after midnight
Curfew's called, its martial law
Gone but not forgotten
Summer love's now into Autumn
So let me fall in love
To Chopin's music and your words
Great days, there's been some great days

V2 Gypsy violins playing
Sit by campfires late at night
Soft and white, starry Snow Queen
The magic colours of a snow scene
So let me kiss your lips
With Chopin's music on your finger tips
Great days, there's been some great days

Ch Great days, some great days, I can remember
Some great days, from May to September
Some great days, there's been some great days.

V3 Wake me in the morning
Tell me when it's time to go
Stand guard poor frozen soldier
Love lies sleeping covered in snow
But let me fall in love
To Chopin's music and your words
Great days, there's been some great days.

V4 Listen for the bird's wing
Rising skyward into the sun
The train's in Warsaw Station
Love you and I should be escaping
So let me be the Prima Donna
Take the Chopin Express straight to Vienna
Great days, there's been some great days.

Ch Great days, some great days, I can remember
Some great days, from May to September
Some great days, there's been some great days.

Nice piece of work, Ben
Georges
I am a right bad ass, dankish prince and I love my Violet to bits.

Greta, George and Lizzie

Lizzie, themusic is similar in style to the Mash signature theme 'Suicide is Painless' and I have used the Diminished harmonics to the same affect.
I do write a great deal of music and but only a few poems at time when I think the music will benefit from being in a song format.

I have very little time during the week just now to reply promptly, so I apologise.

Greta and George thanks for the kind words.
