and to taste freedom
when the wall came down
and the whistling of the skorpions
a tunefull and melodic sound
and the last sound of the division bell
no more machine guns, ever will tell
the heartache of the family's divided apart
one east and one west
we could always tell which one was best
and the border guards did have to rest
and the wondering of the divine blest
and the german eagle or the communist crest
and the barbed wire it did tangle
the price of gold
from the plated bangle
so that all would be told
as it was fortold
in the days before the second coming
and set the timelines running
to grid the earth
for the coming of the second birth
to divide it's girth

Hi there
I like this one... I'm from Germany so I have a special relation to this topic of your poem.
Why did you write about the Berlin Wall???
Keep it up
Arno

Thanks, Arno for your reply. I live in a divided Northern ireland, but in Berlin there was a huge physical division..........The Wall. When it came down it was indeed a Glory Day!!!
I thought of it last night as i sat by my computer and wrote this poem directly, as i do with all my poetry.
Peace to you, brother..............Georges
