I'm having second thoughts Fred, maybe the town was Red Wing?

Oops!

Sorry Eskimo, I see you already suggested Red Wing!

I think you're right E., because:
a) You're very knowledgeable
b) A family member would be 'close to the heart'.
c) I'm a Canucks fan so I automatically think everyone else in North America loves hockey too

Do you know who the band member is?

....Check this link to a story in the American Jewish World - both are on the tour....BTW, it's Go Bruins around these parts - it's been 37 years since Orr et al last won the Cup for the Black and Gold in the early days of Canuck history.....LC's Boston dates could coincide with the Bruins-Canucks finals....

Woohoo, I'm very impressed Eskimo!

Hmmm, but Washburn High is in Minneapolis... although maybe the family member moved to Red Wing.... ?

I didn't realize that Leanne was on tour with the band....

PS I like your suspenseful 'here' and 'this link'

Hmmm, and I thought the message was to Mother Mary that a) he's drinking water and getting lots of rest and that b) he'd love to go to Lollapalooza, but he'll miss it because he'll be in Spain... :?

Eskimo...what impressive sleuthing work!

Imaginary friend...was with you at first with the hockey connection but think Eskimo is on the right track!

Mother Mary...Yes! I think I am with you on all guesses! The connection to Leanne did it. :D

And Fred darlin', I'm SO happy to see you are getting proper sleep and being taken care of very well! You are getting to see a lot of the world you wouldn't have otherwise....you lucky monkey! When you're in Detroit on Saturday I know you'll probably be too busy to say hello to your Aunt Lizzy and me, but I have a little gift for you and hope maybe one of the band members who come into the lobby will pass it on :D They can find me because I'll be the only one carrying a helium balloon  . Then ALL of us will be at Red Rocks to say so long to Leonard, the band, the ladies....and you and Moose!

Big hugs,
Aunt Di

I was impressed with the water on the side stand, too... however, what's next to it? It looks like it could be a butterfly-style wine opener. Are you sleeping off a hangover, Fred?

Meanwhile, thank you for checking in. It is sooooooooo good to see your precious face!! Did you see Moose's cousin here? What a sweet-spirited little guy he is, too!

I am very impressed!
All I could think of was the Detroit Red Wings and I didn't even know they were in the playoffs.

I am very happy to see that you are fine, Fred. How nice of you to help the band members with things close to their hearts. I'm sure they appreciate it and love you very much as we all do here.

Lizzy, I will tell Woody what you said about him. That's bound to make him happy, thanks. :D

I also have a feeling that the Lollapalooza T has some significance... just not sure what it is :?

Kelsey,

You are SO observant! I thought the t-shirt was a blanket on the bed  I notice that a group called Arctic Monkeys is playing at Lollapalooza this year. Maybe Fred wants to see them, but I don't think he could do any better than who he's with now! :D

Diana

ps...Lizzy...yes, that does look suspiciously like a wine opener...hmmm

So the item next to the water bottle is not the plywood violin and bow?

And how many puzzles are there? Do the clues in the hotel rest photo have anything to do with the clues in the Red Wing photo?

By the way, the towns of Red Wing and Burnside merged sometime back. Based upon that, I suspect that Red Wing plant sign is in Red Wing, MN.

From RedWing.org: Red Wing ranks as one of the leading manufacturing cities of Minnesota. Here are made such products as shoes, pottery, leather, linseed oil, safety products, and robotic products.

There is a two-unit, 550 megawatts each, nuclear power plant located within the corporate limits of the City of Red Wing.

Red Wing is surrounded by a rich agricultural territory; and the County of Goodhue, of which Red Wing is the county seat, has been known for years as the BANNER COUNTY of Minnesota in the production of farm products.

A significant governmental change occurred June 1, 1971, when the City of Red Wing and Burnside Township were consolidated into a new municipality known as Red Wing. This action combined the land area and human resources of these two communities into one unified government with the potential to bring a maximum of modern governmental service to the entire area.
