Living With Death

Looking in the mirror today, made me think
When I could not see myself, It made me think

How proud was I, of this orphan living within me
Seeing your orphanage today, made me think

Counting my addictions gives you gratification
When you get tired of counting, It made me think

Think not! That sadness does not torment me everyday
Is it the eyes Or have I not a tear to spare?

Spring has committed suicide, it seems
Days are gloomy and the nights are cold

You seem so distant today?
I have not been myself either, lately

Bouts of bliss do not enchant me anymore
Sorrows bathe me with the warm water of tears

Is this death? As it claims to be
I live with it, As it stings me a thousand times

My soul lives within, every beat of my heart
Shadows of death hovering above me, made me think!
