Dear Heather....

Post by Honeymoon Dreams »

I was lucky enough to see Leonard last year up in Montreal and I'm super excited to see him in my home state of CT in May. I was beyond impressed with the show that I saw up in Montreal....from the peformance, to the sound, to the energy of the room, the fact that I was on my honeymoon.....it was PERFECT.

I did have one question. The set list was awesome and it seems that he does not change it...maybe a song here and there. Why was there nothing from Dear Heather in any of the set lists? I love that CD and was hoping for at least one tune. Any insight?

It's been 'wondered' here and there on various concert threads before, HD.

I love Dear Heather also, and originally wished some of the songs would be included... but after a few months and two concerts, I'm seeing it differently –

Dear Heather was released in 2004. Its flavour is LC of today. Its voice is LC's of today. I'm used to listening to LC's music in the voice it was recorded in – 70's 80's etc.; but to hear these (older) songs sung and recited in LC's voice of today – referred to by another poster as a 'subterranean rumble', IMO embodying the very best of testosterone – is a real privilege.

With me, it's the opposite. Maybe I didn't try enough, but I haven't connected to this album. So I was actually worried that there would be some new songs I wouldn't be familiar with, but I liked the set lists that I saw...
