Ok I just read the forum more carefully, and know that joining the forum = being a "fan" for presale.

Now, I need to know this. For the Oakland show, I get the password at 0700, but then at 10 am, where do I go to buy the actual ticket? Ticketmaster? Thanks.

Make sure you have an account set up with Ticketmaster BEFORE you try to buy tix.

Make sure you are logged into your account too.

Good luck.

Hi olallie and welcome to the Forum!

I am assuming you live in California. So, yes, at 7am your time (10am EST) you can access the Forum for the password; the presale for Oakland will be at 10am local time PST. And Brick in the Wall is correct. Make sure you set up an account with Ticketmaster in advance and sign in to Ticketmaster a few minutes prior to 10AM your time so you will be ready with sweaty palms! Good luck.

All the best,
Diana :D

Some of these questions are unbelievable. They have been covered ad nauseum in other posts. Jarkko has better things to do, I imagine, than hold people's hands through this.

This is my first time doing this... new member here!
Please be patient. I have never bought tickets online ever either.

I understand that EST 10:00 AM password will be posted on this forum with a link to Ticketmaster to use. I live in Chicago... so for me it is 9:00 AM.

Question is...

If the pre-sale starts EST 10:00 AM which is 9:00 AM my time, how does that work because Ticketmaster doesn't sell until 10:00AM my time on pre-sales?

I was ready at 10:00 AM for the public sale, page loaded & everything, but immediately they were sold out. I had (2) of my male friends counting on me as well. The three of us don't want to miss this chance because we know I will never have the chance to see him again. His music is very important to us, it part of the glue in our friendship!

Sorry in advance & Thank you!

Hi blomquist,

You are correct re the time to get the password...that would be at 9am your time CST. However, the presale starts at 10am local time across the country. I don't know which concert you are wanting tickets for. It would help to know that. If it is for the second Chicago concert then make sure you already are signed in to Ticketmaster (I'm assuming you have already registered with them) a few minutes before 10am CST (your local time) and then at 10am start your quest. There is one other thing. You can only purchase TWO (2) tickets on the presale so if you need three tickets then one of your friends will have to go online himself for a separate ticket. Hope this helps and good luck!

Yes indeed, Leonard is the glue that does hold many special friendships together!

All the best and welcome to the Forum. Hope you will stick around after the concerts!

Thanks for clearing that up... I thought I had it correct, just wanted there to be no room for errors. Ya know what I mean...

It is for the Chicago show.

I did just see that it is for (2) tickets only. I have to do this at work tomorrow. The both of them cannot do it at their work. I will have to run from my computer to my Bosses. Putting (2) tickets under my account & (1) under my friends. This should be fun! Hope we get seats kinda close to each other.

Thanks for your help! :D

Oh my, I really DO mean good luck then! If you are anything like me at 3 minutes before 10 the heart starts beating a little harder, then my palms start to sweat and my stomach gets butterflies.....and that is only dealing with one computer!

Wish you all the best!

I posted this info under another thread, but thought it might be useful here as well...

Though I've never had any luck with Ticketmaster before, I was determined to get good seats for this once-in-a-lifetime show (Seattle for me). I did some internet research on how to best use TM and here's what I was able to glean, and the process I used to get row 6 orchestra...

1. Go to Ticketmaster well before the show. Set up an account, register your credit card information and pick a user ID/password you won't forget. (Also
have your credit card next to your computer, because you'll usually need to enter the extra security code on the card.)

2. Do a google search on "free atomic clock" and download it to your computer. Run the program and use the "synch" option to synchronize your computer's clock and the atomic clock. Synch again 10 minutes before tix go on sale.

3. If you have a slow connecting computer, find a faster one - a friend's, at the local library, etc. We live in a rural area and only have an internet card, so I took our wi-fi enabled laptop to our library which has a much faster connection.

4. Do a dry run of the following steps a couple of times. Find another show and practice the first steps - you don't automatically have to buy the tickets that come up. You just release them and can search again.

5. 10 minutes before the sale starts...
a. copy Jarkko's password (highlight - right click - copy)
b. use Jarkko's links which take you right to the page you need
c. scroll your page down so that the box to select tickets and the "find tickets" link that you must click on are both visible at the same time (this saves
scrolling time)

6. At this point, I like to have my atomic clock open so I can watch the seconds. At exactly 10:00am and 05 seconds, I hit the refresh button. (TM seems to
run 10-15 seconds behind my clock.) If the ticket buying options aren't there yet, hit refresh again (but not too many times in a row!)

7. Quickly select your desired number of tickets, paste the password, and I left the "best available" option as is and click "find tickets"

8. Get ready to type your secret words, hit enter (faster than the mouse for me), then wait and hope!

Following this, my first ticket option was just off center orchestra, row 11. I bought that ticket. I repeated my search continuously after that and in a few minutes, a seat in row 6 popped up. I bought that one too! Though it's officially against TM's policy, they will allow you to cancel your ticket within 24 hours of the purchase. You'll need to talk to customer service and they have to get a special authorization, but they'll just charge you their handling fee of $5 or so, and refund the rest to your credit card. And as it turned out the best I could do at the presale was row 23.

As for the phone system, forget it! I tried that at the same time, and their system dropped my calls two separate times.

I'm sure most of you know all of this already, but for those of us fairly new to TM, I hope this can be of some help. The scalpers have a far more sophisticated approach, I'm sure. But, this is the best I've been able to do. And I am sooo over the moon at being able to see LC and truly grateful. Now if I can only run into him in the elevator like some other lucky people!

I wish everyone the best of luck!
You let me sing, you lifted me up, you gave my soul a beam to travel on. You folded your distance back into my heart.

AEG Live and the tour management have given us a big allocation of tickets for the Thursday presale (twice as much or even more than in the first round)!

Under The North American Tour 2009 open up the thread near the top that says PRESALE PASSWORDS AND LINKS TO TICKET SELLERS. There is only one post from Jarkko on this thread and at 10am EST (7am PST) he will post the password there. Make sure you have already set up an account with Ticketmaster (this has already been explained many many times in various posts) and about 9:55am PST log on with Ticketmaster. Then at 10am PST, go for the ticket!

Wish you all the best!
