p's to Cate - this is not personal but peoples come here to share their heart and s'oul and they dont need le's'son's' from you or "Geoffrey" how to write. anyway I think it is silly and very upsetting for me that Antoniou has written a whole poem about you and not for me even though I am a much better ironer and a lot more naked as well than you.

Re: A 'SPECIAL POEM FOR RYAN FROM VANCOUVER
I'm really not sure how to read what seems to be going on here.
Am I correct to think that people have taken offense to me posting my work? What is it that's triggered such an interesting response?
For those who have mocked me, I am curious to know why so much time has been invested in ripping my stuff apart when you could be writing your own.
For those who appreciate what I've written and/or just read and left it alone, thank you.
For those that have read my work and have been angered by it, thank you.
For those that are angered by my very presence (As small as it may be) or my few songs and poems I have posted on the boards over the last few days please ask yourselves what it is that upsets you about it, and rest assured that I will most likely post again.
And if I am reading everything completely wrong, I apologize.
For what it's worth, thank you for putting the time and energy into the expressions of my painful experiences of which I have attempted to share here.

Dear Ryan from Vancouver, I think people have only taken a fence because if you wanted to be properly friendly you wouldn't come to a new place with only 6 or 8 poems. That is just plain silly and maybe a bit rude as well. If you want us to love you then you should post at least 17 or better still 23 poems!!! Well, I have you down as a right tease, Ryan from Vancouver, and when it comes to Naked Ironing no-one does better than me even if I say so meself!!!ryanvancouver wrote:I'm really not sure how to read what seems to be going on here.

Perhaps Ryan's intent was not 'to make us love him'.
He may be posting his poems on this poetry forum in the hope of getting some constructive feedback. So far only Cate and Geoffrey have offered any.
Susie Thingy, impressions CAN be effected without exerting too much pressure. Although ironing is a very competitive sport (I'm told), surely it is never productive to scorch!

Michael has taken on so many abusive troll personas in this forum that he's likely not able to remember all their names, nor the email addresses that the passwords would be sent to if he were to try and revive them.
Unfortunately, there are those in the forum who, while they don't often bully others like he does, egg him on because they think he's funny. He can be funny, he was hysterically funny the day I met him.
You can draw your own conclusions. Until this past weekend, I hadn't been to the Poetry section of the Leonard Cohen Forum since the summer of 2007. What a disappointment it was to see the same old nonsense with the same old players.
Of course, as before, those who confront him are roundly abused as well. Here, let me bend over Michael, there's plenty to serve as an easy target.
Best wishes,
John K.
