Ticket Limits

Post by jax »

I posted in the other thread but am worried my post will get lost in the 15 pages and won't get answered...

My question is... I managed to get 2 tickets off the presale but I would also like to get a second pair of tickets for my parents. If I purchase another set on the release date will it cancel the order I put in today? Is the 2 ticket limit just on the fan club presale? Or does the limit apply to the whole show?

Please help!

Thanks!

since your parents will be hopefully attending. do they have a credit card to buy their own tickets?
they can give you the info and you can use it to purchase for them. they will be there for will call.
just an idea to help.

I agree, get another credit card.
I wouldn't take the chance of getting everything cancelled. That happened to folks recently with another concert I heard of.
Make sure to get the 3 digit code also. I'd even use a different email address if it's the same venue. If you don't have one you could get a gmail or yahoo account quickly,

My understanding is that the 2 ticket limit is only for this presale..you should be able to buy other tickets on the general sales days..or even another presale.. if you wish.

It's supposed to be a gift for them. They would never spend this kind of money on themselves! So I'm hoping to surprise them. I do have a second credit card but it is linked to the same home address that I used for the presale. I'm really scared to try ulness I know for sure. I could always bite the bullet and give them my tickets I guess!

Quote from Ticketmaster:

"Persons who exceed ticket limits may have any or all of their orders and tickets cancelled without notice by Ticketmaster in its discretion.
This includes orders associated with the same name, e-mail address, billing address, credit card number or other information."

:( TRIED TO BUY MEMBER TICKETS AT 12:00 PM BOSTON TIME AND COULDN'T GET ANY. CALLED THE TICKET AGENT AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY ARE SOLD OUT WITH RESPECT TO FAN MEMBERS PRE-SALE. THAT REALLY STINKS.
THOUGHT MEMBERS WOULD BE ABLE TO GET 2-TICKETS?

Is this a two ticket limit per venue, per day.... can someone get multiple venues on different days or same day with different credit cards.... some venues have different ticketsellers....

so i am thinking, someone can go to more than one show.... but not buy more than two per show....

You can buy more than 2 ... just not more than 2 in this presale..

Here is what Ticketmaster actually says for the Leonard Cohen concerts

Ticket Limit

There is a 2 ticket limit for the Fan Club Presale, a 4 ticket limit for the AEG/Venue/Radio adn American Express Presales and a 6 ticket limit for the Friends & Family Presale.

There is a 6 ticket limit per household for the Public Onsale.

Please adhere to published ticket limits. Persons who exceed the ticket limit may have any or all of their orders and tickets cancelled without notice by Ticketmaster in its discretion. This includes orders associated with the same name, email address, billing address, credit card number or other information
