The planets rumbling
Everything’s crumbling
At a magnitude unheard of
Because of bankers bungling
Politicians fumbling
Everyone’s grumbling
It’s all we can do to stop
Ourselves from stumbling
Yes all seems so frantic
Because of mortgage con-tricks
Losing everything we owned
To white collared bandits
I don’t mean to be pedantic
But what I find more tragic
Is turning Leonard Cohen
Into a fucking fridge magnet.
