A New Australian Fan

Post by Otouto »

Hi Guys,

I have done a small intro of myself in the main section of the forum, but I did have a specific question regarding the Oz tour coming up.

I am based down in Adelaide so am looking at attending the day of the green down here. I was even looking at getting a VIP ticket which is going for around $450 I think (there seem be some left).

I am a new Leonard fan, in fact hearing about the tour led me to become curious in the man, which lead to falling in love with the musician. Now I simply adore his music. I guess that is how it develops :).

Do any of you know how the VIP ticket will differ? I guess a better seat....

I look forward to getting to know all of you better.

When it comes to seating, what i've noticed is that they are currently selling the VIP tix with a General Admission 'seat'. Yet way back when, VIP meant a seat in a VIP section. Perhaps such seats sold out, and the VIP tix now are really only for the whole dinner/concert combo...with a seat a little further back now. This info is what i've gathered from ticketmaster, when going through the process of buying VIP tix. Check out the day on the green website, they may have a more ellaborate explanation for the VIP package.

Hi Sean,
I'm also going to the Adelaide "Day on the Green" and did a bit of looking into the VIP package as well. In the end I figured that it wasn't worth the extra $$$ (unless you really want to mix it with the well-to-do corporate types for some food and drinks pre-show). The better bet is getting the best reserved seat you can. Looking on the Ticketmaster site right now, it looks like there are still seats in Row F of the section right in front of the stage (A2). Getting these, you'd see the concert MUCH better than General Admission, plus save yourself $138 per ticket.

Thanks for the reply guys. I enquired with ticketmaster regarding the VIP situation and it seems they never offered the package with reserve seating. Makes you wonder why...

Funnily enough Dean I ended picking up two tickets in row F like you recommended :). I was surprised there were still some great seats left. In my mind it made more sense to get as close to the stage and in clear view of Leonard as possible.

I'm happy to have found someone else who is heading to the Adelaide gig. I am still undecided who my second ticket will end up going to, but there are a few options ;)

Do you know of any South Australian fans who would be interested in 4 tickets to LC a day on the green?

Have accidently bought SA instead of Melbourne and need to sell them. Not looking for extra money, just to get rid of them.

Ticket are electronic so they can be emailed as soon as payment is recieved

Thank you
