:D ~ I love it when things like this happen, Sandra. When I Submitted my posting to you, it was exactly Midnight [not planned that way, but I had finished, and looked at the computer time, right after I clicked on it], and I wondered if it came out as a round number on GMT, or if my clock might be off a minute, or if it was about to click over to 12:01, which would make it just past a round number in GMT, when that dang "globe" [in my case, what looks like a "Q"] finally stopped twirling. So, after it did, I checked the recorded time on my posting, and guess what time it was GMT? As you can see for yourself, 4:00 in the morning :D ~ I always love noticing that time, just that little "lift" and remembrance that come automatically.

Ciao Everyone,

This has been fascinating! All these "moments" of weirdness. Now a "moment" has happened to me too. I bought a pizza. I took it home. I opened the box. I almost fell on the floor . The pepperoni were aligned just like the planets in the Solar System! Except Mars was missing. And I had just been reading about Galileo! Scary!

Well I don´t thing birds are little people at all, not even souls of death people. The thing is that when they appear I feel they bring a message of a posterior event...and I relate them with some person ´s remembrance... It is indeed a fascinating subject matter.... :)
Besides and coming again to the color aspect I have felt the opposite, in times of great sorrow I have experienced a darkness of the environment even in a very sunny day....

 ~ A sure sign of something, Vesuvius! Do pay attention  !!! Interesting that Mars is now missing, after it came so close to the Earth. Maybe it fell into the Atlantic Ocean, coming so close to our gravitational pull  .

Sandra ~ Yes, I have also felt that darkening of the environment during those times. The sunny days don't feel sunny anymore. It seems that our appreciation has so sorely dimmed that it becomes a physical perception :( .

Ahh, that's an interesting connection for you to make with the individual birds. So, you see the bird as the messenger, rather than the spirits of the people themselves. I can see how that could be, too.

Sorry to take so long to get back Pete :)

Just to elaborate a wee bit - I always feel that when I'm out in wild remote places, or not even that wild and remote, just out in the countryside or up in the hills that I have a greater connection to everything be that my surroundings or the people that I am with. What you and others have mentioned about 'knowing' what someone is going to say and do just before they do it becomes more heightened in that environment in my experience. It's almost as if you go into another gear, if I may make that analogy with a car or maybe a bike 'cos there are more gears on a bike! It's like your thinking starts running parallel with others. I know that when I am away from 'civilisation' for even a few days that when I get back I don't feel quite in 'sync'!! and it can take a day or two to become fully present in my day to day existence. I know that things like passing the cereal to somenone as they were just about to ask you to do just that is a bit mundane but you know we are a bit rusty on these 'skills' (or 'gifts' depending on how you look at it) now and we have to start somewhere and have the opportunity to develop them if we want to.
I also think that you become more open to outward 'signs'. I think seeing specific signs round about you and how you interpret them are obviously very personal but things like going into a book shop for example and the book that offers you some guidance in a particular area of your life at this particular time just seems to float of the shelf (metaphorically speaking) and into your hand. I'm not necessarily talking spiritual or self help books either they can be any type from novels to cookery books but they 'speak' to you in some way that can help you get answers. Apologies for now sounding a wee bit 'airy fairy'!!!

Byron, I read your account with real interest. Do you think it was possible that you received this sign that night rather than your colleague because you were in a heightened receptive state as you were concentrating on your task and therefore less involved in the 'outer world' and your colleague was not? I agree with you that the experience would have given the whole experience more credence and also reinforced that it was her mother trying to communicate something to her.

Yes, Rock Rose, I've also experienced the bookshop phenomenon that you've described. My former husband, who has magical experiences weaving in and out of his life on an ongoing basis, said that when he was in a used bookstore, and simply browsing the shelves, a book actually "lit up" with a kind of glow. He had never heard of the book, nor its author, yet he bought it and it led him to a whole new area of spiritual study.

I'll let Byron comment regarding his co-worker's mother, but I do believe messengers are often chosen for their receptivity, proximity, and likelihood of sharing the message. Your conjecture regarding his focus at the time he received it is very interesting. I'll be interested to see how Byron responds.

RR and Elizabeth. I was on my own in an empty office, which was always a busy hive of industry, with the phones constantly ringing and with dozens of police officers calling in, to bring their files of evidence for me to wade through. Imagine it as the English equivelant of your District Attorneys' Office, or Andrew's Procurator Fiscals' Office.
It was non stop from first light until close of day. I am NOT saying that I worked harder than anyone else who is reading this. It was similar to a newspaper editor's office where deadlines had to be met and authenticity had to be ckecked out. I was producing the evidence for next day's courts, on lists for each court, and of course I had to write the date at the top of each list. It required single-minded concentration and the ability to blank out any interference.
I was on my own. I was concentrating. I was not thinking of anything else. My hand kept writing the 'wrong' date. Over and over again.
I was a 'receptor' for whatever was being 'broadcast.'

On a seperate matter, my sister has a friend who has been deeply into spiritualism for many years. I considered that this friend was a bit odd and a few years ago my sister brought her to our house. I knew that the friend took some pleasure in being able to guage the 'auras' of people she met. She is actually quite good at 'reading' people. Anyway, when the friend arrived, I made a deliberate and conscious effort to put up a mental wall to not allow her to try and read me. This will sound bloody stupid to the sceptics who are reading this. Some weeks later, my sister told me that her friend had said that of all the people she had met, I was the only one who she had ever found impossible to 'read.' "It was like a jet black curtain was drawn across his mind," is how she described it.

I do believe that there is something in both of these true stories. Perhaps I am more sensitive than most when engaged with other people.

As for Elizabeth's remark about my taking part in 'debating societies,' I did not.

Elizabeth, please be more circumspect when refering to Albert's dental appendage. He is blessed with only one and finds himself getting somewhat distraught if people mention it. Poor Albert is deeply attached his tooth.

Andrew's Procurator Fiscals' Office :!:

Thank you for setting the scene of your experience Byron. You certainly do seem to be a very sensitive person and one that 'picks up' on things  !!!!!

Cheers

But Byron is the tooth deeply attached to Albert as it seems to be swaying in the wind a bit

I was concerned enough to report Albert to the RSPCA he looks threadbear and dejected. I know he is smiling but it is the smile of a babbling fool and it looks like a village is missing an idiot. Are you sure you are feeding him enough I appreciate that the absence of vast amounts of mouth furniture could be problematic for him but perhaps you should consider puree as an alterative. I am not sure what bears eat but you could email Hercules for his advice.

According to my vast research on the eating habits of bears, hunny and marmalade sandwiches are their favourite foods. This could explain the parlous state of Albert's gnasher :?

Yes, Paula ~ your thoughts rather paralleled mine. My immediate thought [when I just ~ belatedly ~ read this thread] was, "Well, Albert may be deeply attached to his tooth. A shame his tooth isn't deeply attached to him  ." I have to believe you did the right thing, Paula. If nothing else, they can engage the family [well, Byron the primary caretaker, of course] in a Performance Improvement Plan.

Yep, Margaret and Linmag ~ all that sugar. Even a bear can be brought down!

"Absence of vast amounts of mouth furniture" ~ good one, Paula!

"Remark"? I'll have you know that was a complimentary comment couched in a question, Byron!

Your description of your job environment really makes it clear that this message was intended for you! In the midst of the typical day, to be alone, yet having to block out and concentrate, and receive in this form such a message, for me is confirmation. Very interesting how your intent and your sister's friend description were virtually an exact match! No skeptic here!

Byron ~ please give your regards to poor Albert ~ it seems he needs them, the poor dear :( .

Love,
Lizzy
