Room to dance
Room to dance
Hi all was wondering if anyone knows what venues have standing (dancing) room. I have been to three Cohen concerts this year and have been lucky enough to find somewhere to dance each time. On the friday in Dublin I was right beside the stage which was amazing. I'm heading to the o2 and just cannot imagine sitting during the concert but except security to be tight here. I just cant stay still when listening to Leonard. In Dublin it was amazing as the audience just spontaneously started to dance for take Take This Waltz. Any ideas on standing room in any venue? Txs
Re: Room to dance
No offence, but I think most people would appreciate if you'd stay seated.
Re: Room to dance
I'm with you aud!Myself and my friend danced our little socks off at the third of the Montreal gigs, but at the London O2 I was told in no uncertain terms I had to sit down (even though I'd gone right to the back of the section to dance and was disturbing nobody).
Says it all really - Montreal: relaxed, friendly, cool, live and let live. England: health-and-safety-obsessed uptightness! (Before you all pounce on me for blatant racism - I'm allowed, I'm English!).
Maybe we'll have to wait for leg 3 in 2009. I can't imagine the Aussies telling folks to sit down...

Re: Room to dance
If you go to the Glasgow concerts there is plenty of room to dance in the car park.
