The first two paragraphs of Schama's introduction made me wince with embarassment for him ... all that rubbish about peeling oranges, when what Leonard was actually writing about was Constant Comfort tea. A classic example of a narcissus waxing lyrical over something he actually doesn't understand.

Still, I forgive him, as his later references to Longfellow were interesting.

Er.. hello, all of you! i know I am a bit late, but - has anyone a spare copy of that Guardian book by any chance? Anyone? PLEASE? That would be so kind, I would be forever grateful; I have only just read about the booklet, so I hope I am not too late!
Let me know how much you would want to charge, at least for the shipping, I can paypal you the money; or if there is anything else I can possibly do in return, just let me know!
Thanks so much!!!

Thanks towerofsongbt for generosity in sending me a free copy of guardian booklet on LC. Just wanted to confirm I received it this week and express my gratitude as my email response did not go through yesterday. Only a LC fan would not charge! I am really going to enjoy this treasure (montrealer) :D

I have one spare copy of the Guardian booklet if you send me a pm with your address.

Also have a couple of tour program books if you were unable to buy one previously. They cost £10 in England so a bit more for postage costs if you are interested.

Hello, all of you,

thank you so much for all the kind offers for the "Great Lyricist"-book I have received; I really appreciate them! "Inforapenny" has now promised to send me one, so that should be fine... Anyway, I really look forward to receiving it! :D
