It seems a particular problem at the NEC, where security isn't so effective - the selfish few in the first rows who insist on standing up, forcing everyone behind onto their feet.
a few dylan shows there have been a test of physical endurance! maybe Cohen fans have more dignity & consideration, let's hope so.

At the O2, excepting standing ovations, the crowd remained seated until the encores, whereupon they stood for the final half hour. I enjoyed that, and I enjoy standing concerts generally. For such a long concert, especially one in which many audience members ache in the places where they used to play, my opinion is that it works perfectly to sit for 21/2 hours, and stand for half an hour.

Tell me about it! I went to the concert in Bruges. The venue was nice but I prefer a seated concert.
A lot of people had chairs with them, but they couldn't see a thing with everybody standing in front of them.
The people seemed to like the concert. It looked like Leonard got a standing ovation after every song.

I was at the NEC Arena in May to see Mark Knopfler - row E in block B. All around me were seated until the encores. I'm hoping for the same when I see Leonard - same block, same row!
