This is a new section!

I opened this new section for those who want to discuss the forthcoming get-togethers (like the Leonard Cohen Nights in Edmonton, Toowoomba, and Leicester) or want to contact other local Cohenists for prospective meeting. Also those who have plans to return to Hydra in Summer 2003 may use this section!

This is to all Forum members! Please do NOT quote the
original message you comment. This way we can keep
this forum easy to read (of course there could be
exceptions when the poster wants to refer to one sentence
or so!).

Would it be possible in the near future to perhaps get something sorted for a get together in Cambridge, England it would mean so much to so many I`m sure?

Hi Smile,
There's already one that's being coordinated by Lizzie Madder for September 21 in Leicester. If you click on the Memberlist button at the top of this page, and find her name to Personal Message [PM] her, she'll be happy to give you the details.

If you want to read a very charming invitation by her, go to Sony's Leonard Cohen site at http://www.leonardcohen.com, click on the Community square, then locate in the list provided [somewhat towards the bottom of it] the Various Positions Discussion Board. After you register and go in there, find the "Meeting in the U.K. perhaps in the autumn" thread and in the last grouping of posts for that thread [get to the last ones by clicking at, for example, 45-56, at the bottom].

There, you will find her most recent entry, which makes attending sound nothing less than top priority. Check it out. She's trying to get a count. And have a great time.....it sounds worth the drive from wherever you're at. :)

Hi Smile,
I'm sorry to hear that, yet perhaps there's someone you could carpool with, who would be willing to do the driving? It sounds like that would be worth checking into. I don't know how far you're talking about, yet I know that the distances I drive fairly regularly and think nothing of, are considered very long by my England friends, only because our perceptions are proportionate to the size of the country/state they're in context with. I hope a solution materializes for you.
