The Montreal Party

Post by lazariuk »

As you are aware Leonard will be performing in Montreal from June 23-25. The next day June 26th is the beginning of the Montreal Jazz festival which features 11 days of non-stop entertainment, from noon to midnight, right in the heart of downtown Montreal.
3,000 artists from 30 countries
More than 650 concerts, including 450 free outdoor performances
Close to 2 million peaceful festivalgoers, including 250,000 tourists and excursionists
400 accredited journalists
10 free outdoor stages
10 concert halls
June 24th is also Quebec's national holiday which is one of the biggest parties in North America.

Montreal is where you want to be during this time.

Okay. I see what I did. March 13 for Toronto; but March 11 for Montreal.

How do the two venues compare? The Sony auditorium and the place in Montreal where he'll be? I need to make a quick decision. Also. Is the price for the Montreal one for all 4 days? Or just one time of seeing Leonard?

Info ASAP, please. Tomorrow AM coming up very quickly.

Thanks!

Hi Lizzy

The place in Montreal is the best place in the city for seeing concerts. It is the very high end place. I will give you this to help you decide. You can stay at my place while you are here.
I am in walking distance from concert location. The june 24th parade is on the street where I live.
The price is high but since it is followed by 450 free jazz festival concerts it is not so expensive.

Hi Jack ~

Please send the men in the white coats.

It looks like I won't be going to Europe at all this year, as I'd hoped. I've just purchased two tickets for Montreal. One for the first night; and one for the third night. For a godawful total of $441.04!

Forget the glorious B-5 that the system told me I was signing up for, for the first night. By the time my transactions processed, I ended up in BB-11 for the first night at $262.85. It will be Leonard's first night of the tour in Montreal and everyone will be so happy to see him.

I took the plunge and ended up in E-38 for the last night at $178.19. It will be Leonard's last night of the tour in Montreal and no one will want to see him leave.

I ended up with $46.81 left in my savings account.

I may wait until the public sale and try for a 'cheap' [cough, cough] ticket for the middle night.

I accept with gratitude your offer of staying in your home whilst there. I may not be going to Europe, after all, as I had hoped. Now, I need to figure out plane fare to Montreal and Michigan, as I can't get that close without seeing my Mom.

I may need to do what I did last time and fly from here to Michigan. Then take a train from Michigan to Montreal... then reverse the process. Unless I can get a flight from Michigan to Montreal cheaper.

Ey yi yi. Have I lost my mind? May my views be good ones.

I would recommend the following hotel:

http://www.squarephillips.com/

It is very close, you could walk to Place Des Arts in about 2 minutes, and the price is very reasonable. The rooms are HUGE!
