I assume it's an indoor show at the jazz festival, but is it a large place or small (under 3000 seats)?
I can't wait to go see him!

Manchester! I wanna go to a couple of them but I can only afford 1 and shouldn't be greedy. I am very nervous waiting for the ticket info!
Re: Leonard Cohen: TOUR 2008
Regarding Oslo 1st of July. As Google, other members here and myself, have never heard of this Aliset Stadium, the correct name is perhaps Bislett Stadium [stadion]?
This advanced booking train has evidently gone by me a long time ago, and I wish I had realised earlier that sharing my thoughts aboot Leonard Cohen to strangers would provide me with a better chance of seeing him live. Never the less, I may be unworthy of advanced tickets, but still consider myself worthy of regular tickets. Does anyone know where and when these are available, particular in Oslo, but also Sweden and Denmark, as this isn't that far away.

This is fantastic - so many shows... grueling schedule, however!
Here I was expecting some early May dates... And the first date is June 6th! I will not be in the country any more...
Jarkko, the front page in the Files states May/June... so I suspect there will be some May dates in Canada...Will any more details be known before the pre-sale for Toronto begins?

To Jarkko –
Thank you so much for this nerve-racking but still thrilling ride!
To Linda Lakeside –
Linda, are you going to wait to see if Leonard adds Vancouver or Victoria dates, or are you heading to Toronto or Montreal? If I clear the butterflies for a moment, it seems unlikely that if the Tour is headed to Europe, they would trek over the continent to the Pacific side, then back again – what do you think? It will be expensive to go east but I don't want to miss the chance to see him!!

Re: Leonard Cohen: TOUR 2008
wow ... this is stunning, especially for us lucky lucky north-west europeans. six gigs in england and one in scotland. couldn't ask for anything more. so much for the doomsayers with their "it's all going to be festivals" in the wild outdoors with no seats and with no more than 45 minutes of LC on stage etc etc. i feel like i've won the lottery.
i just want to add my small and excited voice to those dozens who have thanked jarkko for all his amazing efforts at sharing information here - readers of and participants in this forum are hugely in your debt, jarkko.
i know that not everyone will be feeling as happy about the schedule as i do, but i hope you all get the tickets you want for the gigs you want. here we go ........
ps - edinburgh castle ... edinburgh castle!

Re: Leonard Cohen: TOUR 2008
naughty ticketmaster fooling me into thinking Leonard would be playing 1 date on the 20th when he is actually playing 2 dates in Dublin, how I wish he were coming to Belfast though, I will get the tickets for Dublin but I really don't fancy seeing him outdoors, especially with our wonderful weather here.

This is the list only until August 1st (plus, Canadian maritimes shows to be announced).
Note the date on the tour poster - 2008-2009 - US tour and new EU tour are in plans for Winter 2008/09. if this leg of the tour goes well.
