Hi ZaGeP ~

Take a few minutes and read all the postings in this section... particularly those started by Jarkko ~ and now especially the one barred off from the rest and at the top of this section, initiated by Jarkko and titled "The first venues."

People [well, most, anyway] aren't going to be giving out individual information to individual askers regarding particular locations, venues, times, dates, costs, and means of obtaining tickets. I believe that Ticketmaster might be somewhat of a 'given' in that, with others possibly in addition to it. Everything can be found in this section and it will be posted by Jarkko. We will all get the same information at the same time. It's your [as well as our] personal responsibility to figure out where we should be looking and keep checking there, so as to find the information when it gets posted. So, takes a few minutes now, and determine where that location will be, and then keep checking it.

Others who will be checking it will be doing so frequently and then will be too busy trying to get tickets themselves to hunt back through the postings to find yours, to let you know where to go. It won't be long before your own posting here will be lost amidst the stream of others. This really comes down to everyone's individual responsibility to stay abreast of what's happening. Nonetheless, I can appreciate the desperation in your plea.
All that said, ZaGep, good luck getting tickets, in Belgium or Holland [neither seem too likely to me, but I'd sure be happy for Willy and Wijbe and you and some others, if they were selected] or anywhere else in Europe. I hope you get to see him. With the larger venues in Europe, your chances are much better in getting one than us who live in the Americas, without our having to travel to your part of the world.

I am new to this forum.......what took me so long?? I have been a serious, ( I hate the word obsessed!) Leonard fan for 11 years now and truly, I feel he is the greatest poet in our 'modern' age, and perhaps the greatest poet the world has ever known. He is one of those great artists who teaches you something without ever really intending to, and who teaches you something new in each and every listen to a song you may have already listened to thousands of times. His recent book of art and poetry was astounding and marvelous and I then saw the art exhibit of drawings from 'Book of Longing' at the Drabinski Gallery in Toronto where I live. so many of the poems in that collection made me laugh for days on end.....did you read the one: " The promise of a youthful shirt" which depicts a self portrait ( one of the many in that collection), looking morose and dejected, but sporting a garish, polka dotted button down top.......only Leonard!!
I have been dreaming of seeing him live and never have......to think that I will get the chance as early as May, brings delight to my heart! Maybe I'll go more than once..........

i have been following your website for the last ten years, i am embarrassed not to have written but always others were writing with much more style and substance. I have waited for each of Leonard Cohen's new works since the early 70s and was lucky to see him in Australia in 1980 and 1985, truly memorable occasions. My daughter grew up with this to the extent that she wrote her degree thesis on Leonard Cohen's poetry. Myself now living in the central Australian desert Canada and Europe seem a long way off but we are keen and may yet make it.
Many thanks Jarkko for your superb website which has been the source of much insight and inspiration over the years due to your guidance and the marvellous people who support you and inhabit the pages.
may see you in Europe.

What type of venues is he going to play? In the US, are the tickets going to be sold through Ticketmaster, Live Nation or an another ticket agency? And how much are the tickets?

Hi Dalsh ~

Take some time and read the threads and you'll get your answers... at the same time as the rest of us. No one will be getting personalized answers. I will tell you, though... No plans for the U.S. at this time. Get your passport together. Also, read the posting to ZaGeP above.

I think, after this one, I'll opt out of replying in any way.

JARKKO ~ FORGET the questions that keep coming at you! Focus on your own health!!!

Best wishes,
Lizzy

Saw Leonard in Victoria (BC) in 1993. Have been looking forward to seeing him live again ever since. I hope I can get tickets to a show in Montreal (PQ) on this tour...

Democracy may be coming to the USA but Leonard Cohen sure ain't. I hope it's not because our women are unveiled.
If Leonard Cohen doesn't tour the US, then the terrorists win. Or is that the capitalists?

The excitement is mounting! I'm pulling for a Vancouver concert, but I'll drive or cash in my airmiles if I have to, to get to wherever he is closest. I've never had the chance to see LC in concert, and I just can't wait. I may have to set the alarm to get up in the middle of the night to read the announcement. I still have to do the math on the time conversion to pacific standard time, but I'm too excited for math right now.

Dear Leonard won't you walk by us again in 2008, with a microphone in your hand and your voice still as strong and golden. It has been a long winters wait for you . :D

Well my fellow Americans, there will be CDs, DVDs ,webcasts , YouTube Clips and downloads both legal and illegal . You probably won't miss much of this tour except for the hassle of getting to the concert hall or the mudhole, and you surely won't miss spending money for the plane fare , the hotel accommodations and the ticket . You won't miss the feeling of malaise that happens to some when in large crowd of unfamiliar people . So cheer up,excluded Americans, Leonard has not let you down.
