This is the only LC forum that I have ever visited with any regularity but I was primarily interested in the poetry or other writing of LC fans. The utter dross which is now posted here, particularly by self-basting repeat offenders makes this place, for me, quite unbearable. The standard of writing has now dropped so far below embarrassing that I can no longer bear to visit. Even using the foe facility is insufficient, I can still smell the crap.
Pretentious gibberish, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Far be it from me to chide another poster (though I have done in my early days) but I think the tone of your post is quite unfair to those who strive (perhaps unsuccessfully, like myself) to write striking pieces.
However, the old adage about chaps in glass houses springs to mind. Not everything you write, Michael, is funny, though a few of your acolytes seem to think so - especially some of our American friends.
You may be guility of the very thing you accuse the rest of us of doing - writing dross.

I am sorry if what I said here was taken as meaning that I think my little scribblings are better than those of others. Maybe that is what I thought, but it is a damned arrogant position to take.
